Facebook Application Farmville: What’s The Deal with Mastery Points?

As you know I’m addicted to Farmville, and its not just me, but my full family. I’d say my son is the most conscientious farmer around.

Like I mentioned in my last post on Farmville, its one facebook application that has taken over our lives. The full family is into it and discussing what to plant next and where to put the new animals. Not to mention the fights that happen when my son wants to plant only strawberries and my husband wants to grow wheat! Still all said and done there is enormous satisfaction in having harvested a good crop before it withers.

Not only do you gain satisfaction you also gain cash. The harvest you reap gives you coins  that you can use in the market place to buy seeds, trees and animals for your farm. So each crop pays for the next one. And once in a while when you are harvesting the crop you even harvest a golden coin. That is the one that adds up to your FV cash, which is what you use to buy fuel for your tractor, harvester and seeder.

Now there is also an option to pay real dollars to boost up your FV cash, but hey, most of us are not that addicted that we will pay to play farmville. So we collect mastery points at each harvest till they total up to one FV cash point. Though I’ve yet to figure out just how many mastery points are needed, I do think they have to be more than thousand. As with each planting I gain experience points and that adds up to hundreds and takes me to new levels much faster than I get to add up the FV cash points.

I’d love to add a photograph of my farm here, but my really slow internet connection is making it very difficult to do so. Maybe next time I’ll have faster speed and better luck. In the meanwhile I can hear the goats on my farm bleating. I think it is time to collect milk. Or eggs from the chickens or Angora wool from my rabbits or down feathers from my ducks. Well whatever it is, its time for me to head to the Farmville farm. See you later.

How does a person regain the bonuses which get lost when trying to publish due to out of sync and all the connection problems that have been occurring lately? At present I would not recommend Farmville as it is having way too many connection and out of sync problems. It gets very frustrating when you have a whole field harvested, plowed, and replanted only to come back later and find that nothing saved and you have to redo everything and have even lost crops to wilting all due to connection issues. What about putting a save button like Farm Town has? Farm Town has made some tremendous improvements over the past couple of weeks and I would highly recommend it over Farmville at this time.

Betty they have released a new game called Cafe World. That’s what’s causing the server overload. They have worked out the out of sync issues now. Its not as slow as it was day before. And try out the new game. Its loads of fun as well.
