How Farmville Works

His describes how farmville works and tells us a bit about what you have to do in the game.

When starting a farm, the player first has to create a customizable avatar. There are six plots of land, four which are partially grown, and two which are an eggplant and strawberries which are fully grown.

The game is based around the Market, the market is where items can be bought to grow plant or expand your farm or add buildings or decorations using “coins”, the game money of Farmville which is earned by selling crops, or “Cash” which the player earns at a rate of one dollar per level. A player can also buy Farmville coins or cash from the game makers or get free bonuses by completing an offer or a survey. The main way the player earns money is to plant seeds which then grow into crops, once the crops are fully grown they can be harvested which holds a reward of Farmville coins, each crop rewards a different amount of coins. Animals and trees can also be purchased and be harvested for experience points and coins. The player earns experience points by purchasing items, and regular tasks such as plowing, planting and harvesting. Earning experience points increases the player’s level and when you level up you unlock more items. Most items can be bought with coins, although some must be purchased with “Cash”.

Each plot of land costs 15 coins to plow and depending on the crop planted, new seeds can range from 10 to over 300 coins. But this depends on the crop you plant and how long it takes to fully grow. Each crop sells for a set price, cherries for 18 coins, pumpkins for 68 coins and so on. If the crop is not harvested within the amount of growing time after it has grown, it will rot away and must be plowed again. for example strawberries take 2 hours to grow so if not harvested within 4 hours the will die and you will not get anything for them.
