Maple Story is Ruined Because of Cash Shop

   The game maple story is a online role playing game, like all rpgs the point is to level up.
When your a newbie and everything is new and interesting yeah u can have fun with out spending money on Cash shop. You start the game as a newbie like litterally that is the name of ur job when you start out and at level 10 or 8 for mages, you can pick one of five jobs to branch out. you have the warriors who have the most life and does the most damage in the game. the thief who does damage the fastest in the game. the mage who does magic no surprise there. and the archer, he specializes more on range, (archers are the must undervalued characters, they really kick some when they are higher levels). and the pirate who is the newest class to the game they can ether be a close range character using fist weapons or a long range character using pistol.
    the game looks very, childish if u look at the animations side of it. but i tell u it is something that will grow on you and will wish other games were as visually creative as this one. the game has much to do. but the focus really is to level up and get better skills and better equipment. there is not much of  story in there. the games fun factor will multiply if u manage to get in to a good guild. where you make friends and compete to level up faster and so on. Now the game has something called cash shop. where u can buy items for your characters for real world money. now this wouldnt be a bad thing if these were just gear you could buy for looks. or things you buy that just help you out a little bit. but they sell items that is almost like cheating . one perfect example is that you can buy a double exp card!!! what type of crap is that? with a douple exp you level very fast. now how does that ruin the game you might ask. when the point of the game is to get to the higher levels and if u want to compete with friends and keep it fun. that is ruined if you just send in real money for a 4 hour double exp card. now these things arent a couple cents. these items are 5,10 some 15 dollars. another things that has become almost an essential for any higher level character to have is a pet. they can pick up your items for you. and at later levels you can kill so many monsters so fast that it really hold you back to have to go back and pick up every item one on one. so you have to buy a pet, then u have to buy an item to equip it to your pet so he does pick up items, then you have to buy another item so that he can pick up mesos(the cash of maple story world). so just on a pet you have to spend about 15 to 20 dollars. REAL dollars maple story is a fun game. but if you dont want to start throwing your money away on a never ending bottomless pit dont play it. once you really get hooked in to maple story you could spend more money on this game then it does to upkeep a world of warcraft account. but if ur looking for a fun game and want to waste alot of money, this is your game.
