Online Flash Games

My Favourite online flash games.

If you ever find yourself with a bit too much time on your hands and wish to fill up your day with some pointless gaming, or just some soft, relaxing entertainment, then here is an easy guide to find which games are both the most fun, and time consuming.

Desktop Defence 1.5

I only came across this game a few days ago, and to be quite frank, it was this game in itself that inspired me to writing an article on online flash games. I found myself a bit board on the computer, and through the use of Google and a bit of imaginative searching I found this little game. Hardly more than a few lines of coding, and some hastily drawn pictures (Please don’t quote me on that, I have never made a flash game, and never really intend to) it had my attention from the very start, and the following 2hours of playing. The games objective is to stop the little *animals* from reaching there destination, by using a whole host of weaponry as well as the ability to upgrade your existing towers for maximum damage. If you haven’t already wasted half your life playing this little game, then I strongly recommend you do!

Age of War 2

For those of you who don’t play online flash games due to poor animation and graphical design, than perhaps this game may peak your interest a little. Age of War is another defence style game and the main objective is to defend your base, and in the process annihilate your enemy. This can be done in either the stone age, bronze age right through to future warfare. I strongly suggest you stick around to give the shiny robots a shot! With the ability to upgrade your fortress and with the 15 different soldiers at your disposal this game surely will have you playing right through new years! Another interesting development in this particular game, is the ability to use special powers, these certainly come in handy when you feel yourself becoming overrun with a horde of angry enemies.

Base Jumping

An interesting little game here really for those of you that have a wee bit too much time on your hands. Now basing jumping considered to be a fairly dangerous sport is given a quite childish persona. With colourful images and rounded texture it seems as if it is great game to introduce the kids to. Well apart from the fact that if your mess up your character splats himself straight onto the ground. Perhaps the childish persona is to lighten the situation and create an influx in the base jumping crew, whose numbers seem to be falling rapidly. Well one thing is for sure, I will be keeping my feet firmly on the ground next to the computer playing this addictive game!

Table tennis tournament

I found this game when I was injured and couldn’t play the real version. I wrote an earlier article on ping pong, rather hastily I might add, and I showed my enthusiasm and passion for the game. Naturally I was delighted when I found this game. Although it takes a bit of practice to get used to (so do most things) I found this game to be a truly beautiful experience and wasted (well not wasted) a lot of time playing it. As well as single player it has an online feature. Hope the title doesn’t give it away to much, but that is exactly what the game is, a table tennis tournament. Play through a couple rounds of table tennis to win the trophy. Fail, and you can always try again!

TG Motocross

Now this game gave me a lot of frustration. I found the first few levels a walk in the park, but passing them with ease was luring me into a false sense of security. I found myself very short of lives in the later stages, and with the tricky courses where speed, time, and a bit of luck are vital, you really find yourself begging for a couple extra lives. Fail and it isn’t a case of retrying, you have to start from ground level, and work your way up again, just to get to the bit in which you failed before, and mostly likely will again. One things for sure, completing will give you a great sense of accomplishment as well as relief, that is if you haven’t pulled all your hair out by then!

The majority of these games can be found at www.miniclip.com for the few that aren’t, Google will certainly help in your search for them. Just make sure you have a lot of free time on your hands!
