Puzzle Pirates: Dubloons or Subscription
A guide comparing the differences of the servers in Puzzle Pirates, also includes information that shows which one is right for you.
Puzzle Pirates is a quickly growing game that is created by Three Rings Design. It is well known as it has two types of servers called “subscription oceans” and “dubloon oceans”. This is a short guide explaining the differences of each one.
Subscription Oceans
These oceans allow a player to pay a flat fee each month to get everything that the game has to offer. This means that it is delivered in an “all-you-can-eat” style. It has the feel of other MMORPGs as there is no need to continually pay for each feature that you use. This type of server is recommended for the hardcore gamer which enjoys putting a portion of their day into their gaming skills and having fun in an online community.
Dubloon Ocean
Dubloon oceans differ from subscriber oceans as they have a microcurrency reffered to as dubloons. This presents the game in a “A-la-Carte” style. This allows players to pay for the specific features of the game which they wish to use. This version of the game is recommended for the casual gamer, or the person who want to get a head-start in the game with very little work.
