RuneScape vs. World of Warcraft

Differences between two of the most popular computer games out right now.

Runescape World of Warcraft

R=Runescape W=World of Warcraft

R-5 Bucks a month W-15 Bucks a month

R-Age 7-15 Mostly W-Age 15 and up Mostly

R-You get one Character W-You can make as many characters as you want

R-Free or Member W-Must pay to play

R-Browser Game W-Requires lots of space

R-2D Box heads, always same motions W-Look real, jump crouch, etc.

R-You usually don’t need anyone but yourself W-Lots of teamwork for quests and dungeons

R-Easy to understand Very W-complex, good but sometimes confusing

R-About 100 Quests total W-Thousands of Quests small and large

R-A Character can be everything (mage, warrior, range) W-You make one character and that’s what you are (mage)

R-Click on the map, character walks W-Use arrow keys to control character however you want

R-Very repetitive, swing axe at a tree, same motion W-Different ways to level, lots of diversity

R-Only armour one choice for nonmembers, rune W-Thousands of different armour sets to mix and match

R-You can play for 3 minutes or 3 hours W-Time consuming, you’ll never want to get off

I have personally played both games, I played Runescape when I was about 13 and I was a member and got very good, but it got repetitive and boring, so one summer me and a friend played wow, and it was an awesome game but 15 bucks is pretty expensive to pay every month, so I usually play wow during the summer when I can play it a lot and get my money’s worth. If you can afford it I would definitely recommend wow, but if you can’t then Runescape is a good game.
