1-99 Fletching Guide

This is the method where you use longbows all the way.

Well, if you’ve read my other guides, by now you should know my intro… Hey! It’s me Menacewars, back with a 1-99 fletching guide!

This guide is pointed towards not using sacred clay knives.

Also, never string your bows until you get to Yew longbows and higher. You will lose an immense amount of money.

If you wish to cut your own logs, I recommend the areas Seers Village and Catherby. It has everything ranging from regular trees all the way to magic trees. I recommend you just buy the logs through the Grand Exchange.

  1. Begin by using a knife on a regular log and create arrow shafts. Do this until level 10 fletching. Remember, arrow shafts are stackable so if you cut your own logs, you do not need to bank.
  2. Now, you should be level 10 fletching. You will continue using a knife on logs, but this time, switch to Regular Longbows. Do this until 20 fletching.
  3. You will continue fletching, but this time you will use Oak Shortbows (u). Do this until 30. Then switch to Oak Longbows (u) until 40 fletching.
  4. You will now fletch Maple Longbow (u). We skip Maple Shortbows because honestly, it’s not worth the time. use Maple Longbow (u) until 70 fletching. This is where fletching begins to get EXTREMELY slow.
  5. I recommend buying Yew longbow (u) and bow strings, or flax, and spin it. Then using bow strings, string all of your unstrung Yew longbows. Do this until a very high level of 85.
  6. Congratulations, I’m surprised you’ve reached level 85 fletching. Well, on to the guide. You can continue stringing Yew Longbows, but for faster experience, around 30k+ more experience per hour than stringing Yew Longbows, begin buying Magic Longbow (u) and bow strings. You lose a little bit if you string Magic Longbow (u). Don’t buy Magic Logs to fletch into Magic Longbow (u)’s. This is the same experience as stringing, but more expensive. So, to get to 99, string Magic Longbow (u).

If you read this and got 99 fletching, CONGRATULATIONS! That was some nice fletching! Fletching is boring, but after 99, you feel a sense of accomplishment, making up for the boredom of fletching..
