12/10- The Attack on RuneScape

12/10, more specifically, December 10, 2007. This is the day, the dreadful day, that day, that killed 60,000 of our fellow players. Many of you may think of this day, as the death of runescape, or in my world, ruinedscape.

On this day, runescape died. It’s joy, its pride, they all fell with it. Runescape, was the fastest growing online MMORPG in the world, then, it all crumbled away. This was the day, our beloved Wilderness was stolen from us, by the same people, that gave it to us. The wilderness was more than a place of mass slaughter. It was a getaway for us Runescapians.  Where we can go to make our wildest dreams come true. Slaughter our friends and enemies, slay them all, one by one. A place where we could go from rags to riches, within minutes. This was our happyness, our icing, on our delecious cake. It was the reason we worked to get $5 a month to pay for membership. The reason we would beg our parents. And now it was gone. Our source of income, our pride, and our joy.

We looked at another source of income, because as they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. We looked at merchanting. Millions were made from this buisness each day, that was until, 12/10. The market crashed! we only made 5,000 measly gp per day. no more. We had restrictions on how much we could make, you would think, the company that is making millions upon millions from our parents paychecks each year, would atleast let us earn more than 5k a day. How am I supposed to get a 20,000,000 gp Sword, with 5,000 a day?

Our joy, our pride, was snatched from us. Our smiles turned to tears, we had been betrayed. What a great holiday present Jagex, what a great present. You took my enjoyment away, you took my friends away, you took my money away, and you ran with it. You mocked us on our faces, knowing we could not stand up to such a big company, and walk away from such a fun game. You forgot though, you are the peasants, and we are the nobles.  Our money is your money, without us, you are nothing. Let us show this to Jagex, so please, on December 10, everyone cancel your membership for 1 month atleast, no one play, and if you do , at 6:00, let us all meet in Falador Square, in memory of the riots that took place that day. And let us take a moment of silence, for the ones we loved to play with, our friends, our family, the ones we lost that dreadful day, 3 years ago.
