26k Scammers

The 26k trick has become a way of the game now, the popularity of this little exploit has reached boiling point for Jagex as they desperately try to figure out a way around this. But after Jagex has updated the the “you only have your potential added onto your drops if you killed a person staking over 75k” people are complaining to each other about the amount of scammers out their.

There was no doubt in my head that the 26k trick would go out of hand, but I never expected it to go this far, as Jagex tries to tackle the situation, people just keep finding more ways for the “tricking” to go on, I don’t understand why people can’t co-operate with Jagex, but instead they just complain about it, and a few days later you will probably see the complainer in a Clan chat dedicated for the tricking to go on spamming “need trick partner”

My First Attempt with 26k Tricks

I actually decided to do the trick for the first time EVER and see what the underground community was like, some clan chats were quite nice and ensuring that anyone who scams can’t enter the clan chat anymore while others just say “poor you, get over it.” I decided to join a more trust worthy channel, I typed in once “Need a 26k partner I’m level 64″ and 5 seconds later I got 2 responses, I tried my best to negotiate my way so that I will be first, but I soon gave in to one person after they showed me 7million coins and they said “why would I need to scam when I have 7mil?”

So I carried my 26k and the person killed me, I told the person I was teleporting to where he/she was, the person said “hold on just selling my stuff kk?” So I responded “sure.” and then “(not giving out username) has logged out appeared at the bottom of my screen, and that was that.

To be honest, I wasn’t very surprised at all, I was actually expecting it. I can see that fewer people are using this trick now because of the amount of scammers increasing and/or because the new “75k” is just too much for them to be willing to risk, I guess we can thank Jagex for that bit.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the amount of scammers are increasing, while the amount of trickers are decreasing, so if you think about it, eventually the only people left doing the tricks will be scammers ( who will probably end up scamming each other)  meaning that hopefully this underground community will cease, or Jagex will find a way around it.

My advice for anyone who is thinking of doing it because they have heard what drops you can get from it, don’t even bother…
