F2P- Free to play members

Buy the hatchets from GE

Always sell your logs in GE better money or you can keep them for later for firemaking.

(Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Adamant, Rune hatchet)

1-15

You will need to chop Normal trees. I would recommend the Place South of GE for these trees. But you can find these anywhere in runescape. Use Bronze or Iron hatchet (Iron recommended) till Level 6. Then use the steel hatchet.

15-30

Chop oaks. These trees are rarer then Normal trees. Chop them near the bank in varrock (South of GE) or drayonar (East of bank). Use Steel hatchet till 21 then use the Mithril hatchet.

30-60/99

Chop willows. They don’t sell so deposit them in bank for firemaking because they are cheaper then Normal and Oaks. Chop them in Drayonar (South of bank). Use Mithril hatchet till 31 then use Adamant hatchet. At 41 use Rune Hatchet(This is the best hatchet in f2p). This is the fastest method in f2p but no money, so you can reach 99 from these as well.

60-99

Chop Yews. These are the rarest trees in f2p. Chop them in Varrock (East of GE) They are the closest to bank. Never drop yews they are expensive and they sell quickly. I would recommend not to burn these logs they are the most expensive logs in f2p, so sell them. Use Rune hatchet.

P2P – Pay to play members

Buy the hatchets from GE

Always sell your logs in GE better money or you can keep them for later for firemaking.

(Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Adamant, Rune, Dragon hatchet)

30-60

Chop willows. They don’t sell so deposit them in bank for firemaking because they are cheaper then Normal and Oaks. Chop them in Drayonar (South of bank). Use Mithril hatchet till 31 then use Adamant hatchet. At 41 use Rune Hatchet.

60-68/75/80/99 – There are other methods from 68 but till 68 chop yews or keep going till 99 from yews.

Chop Yews. Chop them in Varrock (East of GE) They are the closest to bank or Seers Village (Church courtyard). Never drop yews they are expensive and they sell quickly. I would recommend not to burn these logs because they are expensive, so sell them. Use Rune hatchet till 61, then use the Dragon hatchet (Best hatchet in the whole game). But if you don’t have money to buy the dragon hatchet use Rune hatchet. This method is Good money and Good xp.

68-75/80/99 – Another method for 99

Chop ivy. Use Dragon or Rune hatchet. Same location as the yews in Varrock also found in the east wall of the varrock castle. They are the fastest xp in game but no money. You don’t get any items from Ivy. You can also use Sacred clay hatchet (Stealing Creation minigame) this gives more xp but it is degradable.

75- 80/99- One more method but you can keep going with yews or ivy. But you need Lvl 75 to start this method.

Chop Magic trees. Use Dragon hatchet or Rune. South of Seers Village and in Gnome stronghold. This method is all about money these trees give the most expensive logs in the whole game. Logs seriously not recommended for burning or dropping. Slow xp but very very good money.

80-99- You can still continue on with the other methods but you need Lvl 80 to use this method.

Sawmill. This gives the same almost the same xp as ivy but again no money from this as well. No need of hatchets.

So in members you can choose a lot of different ways to get 99 and when you want to start different types of methods. In this guide I have given the starting Lvl required to do one of those methods but you can choose when to start them after the requirement of the level needed has been met.
