A Guide to Flipping Items in RuneScape
How to flip items for profit in Runescape.
Hello, I’m sure as most of us know there are many methods of making gold in Runescape, some more profitable than others. I’m going to share with you my method of flipping items in Runescape, along with some good items to flip.
How to Flip items in Runescape.
The most profitable way I’ve ever made gold in runescape has been flipping. If you’re unsure of what flipping is, it where you buy an item and then right after you buy it you sell it for a higher price for profit. This method can be used by members and f2p alike all you need is some gold to get started with. Below is an example of flipping death runes. They have a buy limit of 25k so for every 1gp more you sell for, you gain 25k gold. This flip sold for 4gp more than bought.
Step 1. Finding the price to buy and sell for.
How do you know the lowest price you can buy and the highest price you can sell for the most profit? Well first you buy 1 of the item you’re thinking of flipping for +5 – 10% above medium price and the item should buy instantly. You then take the item and sell it for -5 – 10% below medium price and the item should sell instantly. Then check you exchange history and you will see the price you bought and sold the item for. You should note these numbers down on notepad or actually write them down on a piece of paper. These are the prices you will be buying and selling for.
Step 2. Buying the item.
First you need to know how many of the item you can buy, I’ll list the main ones I use here but for more you should check out the wiki page listing all of the items buy limits at http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Grand_Exchange. Runes (and essence) – 25k, Raw Fish – 20k, cooked foods – 10k, Planks – 10k. Potions – 1k, Herbs – 10k, Barrow’s armour – 10, Bars – 10k, Ores – 25k, and Leather and Hides – 10k. After using step 1 to find out the difference between the highest and lowest price you can see how much profit you are actually going to make after finding the quantity you can buy of the item. If the profit is good then you’re ready to start buying. Look at the prices you wrote down from step 1 and buy the maximum quantity you can buy of the item for the lowest price you wrote down. it may take some time for the items to buy.
