A Guide to RuneScape Merch Clans
A guide that tells you how to tell which clans are real and which clans are trying to rip you off.
First off, I have to say that merch clans are againts the rules. If you want to get in on it, no one is ever muted or anything for it. JaGeX isn’t doing anything about them right now. But, some clans are ripping you off by getting you to buy their junk.
- Look at the name of the person who owns the clan. If it is a name like guthix_782384, it is probably a scam. If it is somethine with the word merch, then it is probably good.
- Next, check the item that they are merching in. Check the Grand Exchange Runescape website. Find the item. If the price is going up, then you should be good. But, if the price has never moved, you were about to be scammed.
That’s it. That’s all that it takes to not join a merch clan that’s a scam. These two steps can save you millions.

I know your article is trying to help but what u’ve said about merch clans is 80% untrue. ALL MERCH CLANS are scams. There is no such thing as merching with a clan, all merching is done solo if u want to earn money. If the clan has the words “merch” it is most likely owned by a core of people with over 100mil each and that is why it is a scam.
Also, if the item on grand exchange is going UP, then its CLEARLY a scam because the people(core) of the clan stocked up on the items beforehand. When you are buying this rising item, u are letting the CORE earn a profit because they are the ones who have stocked it up at low prices. You are buying it at a high price so when the CORE dumps the items, it drops a lot and u lose money.
