Accessing The RuneScape F2P Skill Guilds
Want to know how to easily access all the F2P guilds in runescape (cooking, mining, champions, runecrafting, prayer and crafting)? Read about the fastest way to gain access to the guilds by training your skills smartly.
First before you , read all the advice offered to access guilds you must realise what a guild actually is. After continuous training of a skill, it may become boring and difficult to train. The guilds for each skill help the high-lvl player to attain xp faster. This is because almost all the necessary facilities for the skill can be found within the guild of the corresponding skill.
Cooking Guild:
The easiest of all the guilds to access is the cooking guild. This is because cooking is an extremely easy skill to train and you only need lvl 32 in cooking to be allowed in. But to make it easy, the player must know what to cook. Generally seafood like herring, trout, pike, sardine and salmon are among the best choices for cooking lvls under 32. The follwing list shows what food should be cooked at each level until lvl 32.
lvl 1 to 4 – sardine (fishing lvl 5 or greater, bought from GE)
lvl 5 to 14 – herring (fishing lvl 10 or greater, bought from GE)
lvl 15 to 19 – trout (fishing lvl 20 or greater, bought from GE)
lvl 20 to 24 – pike (fishing lvl 25 or greater (bait is needed), bought from GE)
lvl 25 to 32 – salmon (fishing lvl 30 or greater, bought from GE) : Note: After lvl 30, do not cook tuna as it is expensive to buy and difficult to cook (its burns a lot) as well as catch while fishing.
Note: A reasonably high fishing lvl will greatly assist in attaing cooking XP. If you are conscientious of your finances, then trout and salmon are the easiest combination to cook from fly fishing (no cost). Pies, cakes and other sorts of complex food give good xp, but are very difficult to make quickly, so its unwise to try them for powering up your cooking lvl.
To enter the cooking guild you will need to be wearing a chef’s hat.
Crafting Guild:
Crafting would be the next easiest skill to train to acces the guild, but it is a very boring skill and money cannot be made easily for F2P players. To make it easy and less boring, the player must know what kind of things to make while crafting. The follwing list shows what things should be made at each level until lvl 40.
lvl 1 to 4 – gloves (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 5 – gold rings (mining gold ore, or gold bars bought from GE)
lvl 6 to 7 – gold necklaces (mining gold ore, or gold bars bought from GE)
lvl 8 to 15 – gold amulets (mining gold ore, or gold bars bought from GE)
lvl 16 to 22 – holy symbols (mining silver ore, or bars bought from GE)
lvl 23 to 40 – tiaras (mining silver ore, silver bars bought from GE)
Note: You need a mining level of at least 20 to be able to mine silver ores and at least level 40 to mine gold. If you have a combat lvl above 40, don’t waste your time mining gold as attaining cowhides is much faster than attaining gold (This is only for low levels of crafting, otherwise follow the above plan). It would be silly to buy silver or gold ore and then smelt it to craft items. This is because gold and silver bars are cheaper than their corresponding ores.
It is also important to realise that cowhides are very cheap compared to gold bars. So it is up to you to decide whether money or xp is your first priority.
Ensure that you collect all the uncut gems that are dropped from monsters or players. If or when you have the required level, you can start cutting and making jewellery out of them for huge amounts of xp.
If you cannot kill cows quickly and your mining lvl is over 20 and under 40, you can follow the following plan :
lvl 1 to 6 – gloves (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 7 to 8 – boots (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 9 to 10 – cowls (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 11 to 13 – vambraces (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 14 to 15 – leather bodys (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 16 to 22 – holy symbols (mining silver ore, or bars bought from GE)
lvl 23 to 40 – tiaras (mining silver ore, silver bars bought from GE)
If you cannot kill cows quickly and your mining lvl is under 20, you can follow the following plan:
lvl 1 to 6 – gloves (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 7 to 8 – boots (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 9 to 10 – cowls (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 11 to 13 – vambraces (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 14 to 17 – leather bodys (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 18 to 27 – leather chaps (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
lvl 28 to 40 – hardleather body (cowhide from cows, bought from GE)
To enter the crafing guild, you will need to be wearing an apron.
Mining Guild:
Mining would be the next easiest skill to train to acces the guild and its a fun skill to train along with making lots of money. The downside is that a high mining level of 60 is needed to access the guild. The following plan is the best for most players.
lvl 1 to 14 : copper ore (location: Lumbridge mine, where the mining tutor stays)
lvl 15 to 60: iron ore (location: Al Kharid mine)
Note: It seems incredible that iron should be mined from lvl 15 to lvl 60, but its is simply the fastest respwaning item and easiest-to-mine ore in F2P runescape.
If your combat lvl is not over 28, you cannot mine in the Al Kharid mine because scorpions will keep attacking you. So try the Dwarven mines.
Prayer Guild:
The prayer guild is fairly difficult to access, especially for players with low combat levels. But do not worry. THe following plan tells you how to do it quickly.
combat lvl 3 to 35: chickens in Fred’s farm (There are numerous chickens, so you can kill them quickly and bury their bones them quickly)
combat lvl over 35: hill giants who drop big bones (15 xp for each big bone)
skillers: there is a place in the wilderness near the chaos altar where lots of bones respawn. You can bury these for quick xp.
A very helpful tip: You can hog hill giants in the Edgeville ungeon by using ranged or maged attacks (preferably ranged). Then you can use your preferred form of attack. Another sneaky things to do is kill a giant past the halfway point for its hp bar and then run away and find another giant. Whoever kills it will not get the bones, you willl get it!. This way you will get lots of bones very quickly.
Runecrafting Guild:
The runecrafting guild is very difficult to access as it requires lvl 50 in runecrafting and the skill itself is fairly boring for F2P players. Following is a plan for what runes should be crafted at each level.
lvl 1 to 8 – air runes
lvl 9 – earth runes
lvl 10 to 29 – air runes (with air runecrafting gloves)
lvl 30 to 50 – earth runes (with earth runecrafting gloves)
Note: The air and earth altars, both in Varrock are the closest altars to the bank in F2P runescape. This makes crafting air runes and earth runes quick as Aubury is also in Varrock. Aubury is the wizard who will teleport you to the rune essence mining area.
You have to play the mini-game Fist of Guthix, to be able to use air and earth runecrafting gloves. To find out how to do well in fist of guthix you can visit the article I have written on how to do well on fist of guthix. If you dont want to play fist fo guthix you can follow the following plan:
lvl 1 to 8 – air runes
lvl 9 to 50 – earth runes
Champion’s Guild:
To access the champions’ guild you will need 33 quest points. Entering this guild will enable you to start the dragon slayer quest. Following is the order in which you should attempt quests to quickly acess this guild.
Romeo and Juliet
Goblin Diplomacy
Ernest the Chicken
Black Knight’s Fortess
Demon Slayer
Vampire Slayer
Pirate’s Treasure
After this you can do any quests you like to access the guild. But the above is the preferred order, especially for high combat lvl players.
