Amazing Ways to Prepare for Members
So you have become sick of F2P and want to become a Member in the popular MMORPG Runescape. However, before you become one it is a good idea to have certain levels first.
Runescape membership is like the Holy Grail of Internet Gaming for some people, and most will go to extraordinary lengths to get it. However, you need to look at your account first and then decide if it is a good idea to become a member yet.
Attack, Strength and Defence: Level 60+

It is a good idea to get these levels up to 60 as you will then be able to wield and wear Dragon Weapons and Armour. You will also be able to complete most of the Beginner and Intermediate Quests, as well as some hard ones.

A Dragon Scimitar and Platebody.
It is also recommended that you increase Strength to a bit higher (if you can be bothered) as this will increase your maximum hit.
Best way to train:
Kill Hill Giants in the Edgeville Dungeon.
Range: Level 50+

Range is a good skill to train and will be helpful in Quests such as Robin Hood as well as in Pking. Having a higher range will enable you to use items such as Ava’s Accumulator or Ava’s Attractor (Pictured)

Ava’s Attractor (left) and Ava’s Accumulator (right) collect your arrows for you and also collect things made of iron. They are a reward from the ‘Animal Magnetism’ quest. The Accumulator requires level 50 ranged to use.
Best way to train:
Once Again, Kill Hill Giants in the Edgeville Dungeon.
Prayer: Level 43+

Level 43 will allow you to use the Protect from Melee Prayer which will be helpful when fighting strong monsters and players in Members worlds. Level 43 is just a base level, and much higher than that will be beneficial when you become a member.
Best way to train:
Bury the big bones from the Hill Giants you kill, or buy at the Grand Exchange.
Magic: Level 60+

Having a magic level of 60 will allow you to cast the three powerful Godspells (Saradomin Strike, Flames of Zamorak and Claws of Guthix) after unlocking them from the Mage Arena Minigame. These are some of the highest hitting spells in the game, especially when used with Charge (requires higher level).
Best way to train:
High Alchemy: Find an item that will give you the least amount of loss and then High Alc away. Remember to use a fire staff.
Superheat Item: Mithril Bars will give a profit (most of the time, check the prices) and Steel results in only a small loss. Remember fire staff. The good thing about this spell is that it gives Smithing Exp also.
Fist of Guthix Minigame: The only advantage of this is free runes. It will take a lot longer and may be annoying if you have a runner. Casting spells like Bind and Weaken will help boost the Exp gained from each game.
Runecrafting: Level 50+

Runecrafting is bit of a tricky one to set a level for, as it depends on what the player is wanting to do. I have written the level needed as 50 because that is the requirement to access the Runecrafting Guild where you can play Great Orb Project and earn lots of money. This game is in F2P, however in Members you can make more money by crafting Nature Runes.
It is up to you whether you wish to reach this level as getting Runecrafting Exp can take a long time.
Best way to train:
Get Earth Runecrafting gloves from Fist of Guthix, Explorers Ring 3 from Lumbridge, an Earth Tiara and a lot of Rune Essence (Use a Calc. to work out how much you will need) and then go back and forth to the Earth Altar from Varrock West Bank. Remember to utilise the Musician.
Note: You will need 30 Runecrafting to use Earth Gloves, so maybe begin with Airs or Waters.
Well, that is all for now. I will post the next sections (Columns two and three) if this article is popular.
Happy Scaping!

Great guide on levels you should have before becoming members i totaly agree if you go members while your low level whats the point your just training the same way you would be in f2p or wearing the same items etc.
Great article!
I love the way you hyper linked your Hill Giants article here. Double views…ingenious!
Keep it up!
@mxpower: Yeah I know, I want to be able to wield dragon and wear dragon when I become members after doing the required quests…I mean sure you can level up quicker in members…but its still wasting time.
@huzaifa: Yep, I’ve done that with a few other articles too. Now I just need more people looking at it! Direct your friends here =)
I agree with mxpower, being low level in member is almost pointless. This is a great guide! I like it that you’re also making the magic guide in the same article.
Yeah, it would be silly to just tell you to get to certain levels but not give any more information about how!
