Another Way to Improve RuneScape Mages

AS we know the mages in runescape are quite weak in combat. Well I have afew ideas which will fix it up fast. Number one make spells require less runes to use. This will save the mages money and allow for more spell use. Second add a new Fist Of Guthix item called the split gloves. When worn the gloves can on occassion make a combat spell split in two. Say you were to use water blast and it does 14 damage. When the split effect works two water blasts appear and hit doing damage. This in theory would allow 28 damage to be dealt. The gloves would have 100 charges before they need to be recharged. The final way is make curse spells do more effects like instead of reducing 5% make they can reduce up to 15%. That is how mages can be improved.
