The best set for Mage is Zuriel as it will give you big boost to magic attack and also big boost to defence against melee. There are two versions of this set : Corrupt one and the Full one. Corrupt one will give exactly same bonus as the full one but it will only last for about 15 minutes of wearing. The great thing about this set is that it will only require level 20 magic, defence and attack to be worn. The full version, however, will last for about an hour in combat. But, this set required level 78 magic and 78 Defence to be worn. The staff will also required level 78 Attack to be wielded.

You can only get this set from PVP world after you killed other player who held at least 76K of wealth and with you bringing at least 76K too. It’s pretty much a rare drop so you need to be lucky to find it. Optionally, you can also buy them in Grand Exchange with high prices.
