Complete 1-99 RuneScape Thieving Guide
The best and fastest method to level up your thieving and make some cash along the way!
This can be a difficult stretch for some, there are hardly any Master Farmers and they can be frustrating. As you probably have guessed, we are going to be picking Master Farmers pockets for this stage. I recommend the one in Draynor Village as it is so close to a bank. You will get plenty of seeds to sell for some cash in the future. As of now, we are so close to Super Experience!!! Keep it up!
Hands in Their Pockets (45 – 91)
Alright, it’s time to pack your bags and buy a Shantay Pass! We are going to the desert! First of all you will need to complete The Feud quest and buy yourself a shiny Blackjack. Contrary to popular belief, a normal, a (O), and a (D) blackjack all have the same chances of failing to knock someone out. You will now need to travel to Pollnivneach. Before you do this, arm yourself with the following:
- Your Blackjack
- Desert Robes (Not Required)
- Food (the cakes from earlier, or else wines)
- Noted food
- Money to buy back noted food at the General Store
Bearded Bandits (45 – 55):
These are the first stage of your stay in the desert. Lure one of the Bearded Bandits into a building, preferably one with a ladder to escape if you fail to knock them out. Now, we need to establish a steady rhythm. Here is how it goes:
Knock-out, pickpocket, pickpocket, Knock-out, pickpocket, pickpocket, and so on. After you click to knock out the bandit put your mouse on pick-pocket, then as soon as the message appears telling you that you have knocked the bandit out, click pickpocket. Then have your mouse ready on pickpocket again, as soon as the message tells you that you have picked the bandit’s pocket, click again. Do the same for knocking him out again. It does go quite fast at the start but you will get used to it.
Trust me, it will take quite a bit of time before you can go constantly with no error. Just keep at it and the XP will keep rolling in. When you run out of unnoted food go to the general store and swap noted to unnoted.
Pollnivnian Bandit (55 – 65)
Keep doing what you are doing, except now change to Pollnivnian Bandits. We will be doing this until level 65. You should be making enough money to pay for 100% of your wine/food swapping. It does get tedious so if you ever get frustrated find something else to do.
have you ever considered sorcerers garden?
Sorcerers Garden does not net nearly as much Xp as Pyramid Plunder.
Nice guide, although I would edit some parts of it.
You could have added a Thieving guild method to it (Blackjacking the fatty standing in the big room). Got me from 90 to 99.
This is pretty awesome, I try to write articles to help people on rs, but this is something I will refer back to.
I think you should include Sq’irks with it.
As an update, altough it is kinda behind: I now have 99 Thieving! I got it, as I suggest, at pyramid plunder. During double xp weekend I was getting upwards of 550k xp an hour.
