F2P RuneScape Combat Guide: Melee
This guide will walk you throught the levels of the melee combat skills of runecape (attack, defense, and strength.)Yes I know, its rediculously boring, but it will make the game way more enjoyable for you.
Runecape is a very fun game to play, but theres not much you can do if your combat skills are low. This guide will walk you through the levels and keep you on track.
- Beginning levels (3- around 20): Well, at this point, you are pretty much brand new at playing runescape, or at least new to the combat skill. You have 2 good options. 1st, you can kill chickens, which are located near the cows in Lumbridge. To get there, go across the bridge, and keep following the road, then next to the cows there’s a small place where you can find chickens. They drop feathers, raw chicken and bones. Bury the bones, cook the chicken, and keep the feathers to sell. The 2nd option is to kill cows. They drop cow hides, which sell for about 100 gp or more, bones and beef. bury the bones, cook the beef and keep the hides. You can find cows across the bridge outside the Lumbridge castle, and outside the Falador south entrance.
- Intermediate levels (20- 50): Now your probably getting more used to this game. You will be getting better armor, which costs more, but makes things easier. At lvl 20, go to Al Kharid, in the palace, and fight the warriors. They gang up on you, so the experience just flows in. When your around 30-35, start fighting Hill Giants. They drop many valuable things, such as big bones and limpwurt root, and can be found in the edgeville dungeon. The easiest way to get there is to buy a brass key, and go to the building southwest of the GE. You can also make quite a bit of money from fighting hill giants.
- Higher levels(50-76): Now that you are strong enough, do the dragon slayer quest and fight Elvarg the Dragon. Now you can go to Crandor and fight moss giants. They have drops similar (but a little better) to hill giants, but they have higher levels, therefore are harder to kill.
- Advanced levels(76+): Congratulations if you have reached this level. You can now train with Lesser Demons which have a combat level of 82, or you can train with Ice Giants when you’re above 90.Now, some people say that Lesser Demons are easy to kill, but they put up a hell of a fight. Bring plenty of food, you will need it. Lesser Demons drop runes, and occasionally rune meds which can be sold for about 10k. Another way to train when your above lvl 90 is to kill Ice Giants in the ice cave(Bluerite cave), south of Port Sarim. They are good training, plus the drop Big Bones. Big Bones are essential if you want to be any good at prayer. Make sure to bring full rune, and a rune weapon. Be careful of ice warriors, because they will gang up on you. Ice Giants drop items pretty similar to what the Moss Giants drop, with some additional items such as Black Kiteshield.
