Five Great Places to Train Your Combat Level
Having a high combat level is very important in Runescape. Here are some great places to increase your combat level.
Your combat level is something by which you are known and respected for. If your’s only level 5, then no one will respect you and everyone will call you a “noob”, even if you have 80 woodcutting or 90 runecrafting. So it is important to train combat. Training combat in Runescape is not very hard if you know the proper locations. A good place to combat would be where there are not many people, the monsters don’t do much damage, they have good drops and most importantly the place is not a multi-combat area. A multi-combat area is where many people can fight the same monster so other stronger people can attack your monster and steal your experience and possibly your drop. Here are some good places I found where you can train combat.
Moss Giants at Crandor
There are a few requirements before you can fight these. You must have done the dragon slayer quest so that you can go to the island of crandor. Crandor has lots of monsters to fight but the only interesting ones are the lesser demons and the moss giants. Only high levels can train on lesser demons so you should avoid them. The reason you should train here is that this place is mostly empty so you are free to fight as much as you want. The Moss giants drop big bones so you can also train your prayer. They also drop very good things like steel bars, black square shields and mithril swords. Not recommended for low levels.
Cockroaches
Near Edgeville, at the stronghold of player safety you can fight Cockroach drones (lvl 8-9), Cockroach workers (lvl 53) and cockroach soldiers (lvl 84). Players of all levels can train here. The best thing about these cockroaches is that they have very good drops. Fight them yourself to find out. Also, the cockroach soldiers hace a rare chance to drop a rune square shield which sells for 22k and is the best monster drop for free players.
Dark Wizards Outside Varrock
Near Varrock southern entrance is a stone circle surrounded by dark wizards (lvl 7 and lvl 20). Don’t be fooled by their low levels as they can do some decent damage to even high level players. This is a very good place to train your ranging level. The wizards drop a wide variety of runes including Chaos, Nature and Law runes. Food is recommended.
Edgeville Guards
Kill edgeville guards is a great way for low levelled players to train their melee combat. The guards don’t do much damage but food is stil recommended for people with low defence. There are no drops worth mentioning here but they are still a good way to level up and get stronger for better monsters.
Cows at Gnomecopters
North of lumbridge are the gnomecopters. There is a bank deposit box here which is very near to the Cows. You can kill Cows and deposit their cowhides and bones in the bank and then sell them later at the grand exchange. Not a very good place to level but a great place to make money and get combat experience at the same time.
Why is it important to have a high combat level?
Combat level doesn’t say anything.
I’m level 63 atm, but I have 50 att – 70 str – 72 hp – 81 range – 70 mage and 44 pray.

You have lied about you stats in runescape. You cannot have 63 combat with those stats as i have lower stats and a higher combat

no alex is wrong period, even with 1 def he would still be over 70 combat, simply for the fact that every skill he said was a skill that raises combat level.
he can have combat level of 63 if he has 2-5 def level ,but if he has 81 range wtf is he doing with melee! stick with your range
lol im a lvl 80 with 70 att 63 str 61 def and dude a good plase to train is if u got into the strong hold go to the second flore and go to the lvl 35 flesh crawlers theres a plase to train att mage and range i get about 30k of them in 1 hour and thay drop prety good things if u keep picking up the body runes for atleast for 1 hour u can get about 75k in body runes peace pie
ya i am a lvl126 with 99att 99str 99def 99range 99mage 99pray and there 1 really good place to train but u need high lvl slayer like 75 i think kill gargouls so ya they hit pretty high so bring pray pots food and a good wep and armour i like to bring full guthans bc it heals me so i dont have to bring food. so ya gl with that
y dus every1 keep going on about alexs skills this sint the topic in discussion. he can have them skills wid 63 combat if he has 1-3 def and 1-6 summoning (highly likely).

anyway personnaly i wouldnt train in the 5 places mentioned as none of them really give gd xp/money but if u r non members..

Hey everybody Im lvl 56….I would like to be able to at least get to lvl 60 fast within the next few weeks…but I would also like to stay well rounded. are these good stats for runescape..am I well rounded?

well my way of getting ur combat hugher is doing some quests like dragon slayer and if u are a non mem go and kill cokroaches if u are lv 3-35 kill cockroaches lv 8 if 35+ kill the cocoroach workers lv 53 and when u are 70 combat or higher kill the lv 84s cause they have good drops i got rune scimmy and rune square shields for mems as some people said before kill dragons lv 79 they drop dragon bones and green d’hide get full inventory of them and ull have 35-40k each time P.S food is recomended for both methods
Well im a level , 84 , with 71 hp , 75 str and 74 wc and still pple call me a noob and stuff and when i ignore them they call me even worser names (very bad) but they write the words in letters and numbers so then i report them and there muted… its fun… and if u become very good and no offences against you for like 1.5years of runescape then u become a player mod

combat aint important money is yes!!!!!!!!! IT IS XD im lvl 50 with full rune with the chainbody and not the long sword, 2h sword i like to train and make money at stronghold of player safety go to 2 floor then go and kill lvl 38 flesh crawlers pick up all herbs,silver bars noted iron ores and sapphires sell it at G.E. lowest price

a good place to train when your level 45-about 75 is the stonghold of security 2nd level in the room with level 30 zombies and 28 flesh crawlers. You can turn on auto realitate and just let them attack you. Then when you get to around level 58 ish you can train on the level 44 zombies just south of them. I got from level 45-61 in around 5 hours!
Im level 61 with 51 attk, 49 hp, 50 strength, 50 defense, 28 range, 28 prayer, 41 mage and 6 summoning if you dont believe me, my name is derf 222
Im derf 222 again. I only play for about 1 hour a day and im now combat lv 69 with 60 attack, 55 hitpoints, 55 strength, 50 defense still, 31 range, 43 prayer, 41 mage and 6 summoning. It is possible to all of you out there! Good luck, and if you want to level up fast, use my guide 2 posts above!

i’ve heard that spiders are good to train on
werewolves for 95+, cockroachesfor 75+, Earth warriors for 60+and also spiders, i am lvl 100 and like to train in tazaar caves bc of good drops. Lastly flesh crawlers for 45+

Wow, I never realized I would have to find people out here imitating me. I am the person who logs in as Koolasamoose in world 28 most of the time. I play with private chat set to friends, so “hitting me up” will be difficult (as the imitator posted this on 8/15/2008, I thought I should correct them). I was not combat 138 at that time and, as of today (7/20/2009) I am still not combat 138 as I need a few more levels in summoning and prayer to get from 136 to 138.
If any of you tried to reach me based upon the imitation post from last August, it is sad. I might like to know you. If you want, you can find me in World 28. I get slayer assignments in shilo. I make farming runs.
And, by the way, I will respect you if you deserve respect based upon actions. Your combat level is irrelevant to me.

KBD=King Black Dragon can drop Dragoic Visage that is worth over 27 m. but this drop is werry rare, but u can be lucky and get it at teh first try,
