I think you should not give the party hat away..I think that ppl should be hardworking and not depend on others to get their money. I’m a 19 year old Dutch student studying to be a teacher and two days ago I logged into RS after 632 days of not logging in.
I was excited about the free trade coming back, so I wanted to check the game out.
However, as soon as I entered my bank pin I was reminded of the reason I had quit.

As a 13yr old I started RS and the thing I loved most of all was merchanting. I was an avid merchant and after a year or 2 of playing, I had gathered about 80mill and I was easily the richest of my friends. RS had become a bit of a part of my life and when I looked up Scape Original (song) on youtube, the old feeling of wanting to RUSH back into the game after the school came back.

but around my 16th birthday the worst thing possible happened, I was hacked out of the 6 green masks I was holding at the time (worth around 90m then). I cannot tell you how miserable I felt for the weeks to come. Years of (fun) hard work down the drain. I hadn’t shared my pass with anyone and was always safe with my computer, but I did play at a friend’s LAN party so I guess I must’ve lost my pass there.

Ever since then I just long back to the old RS (and many players with me I think) but most of all I just couldn’t play because I was suddenly robbed of everything I had worked for years to get. To this day I don’t know who did it and although I have my suspicions, they’re all friends from the past and there’s no real point confronting any of them over it now.

I stumbled upon this page looking for a way to delete my char because for the last 2 days I’ve been on and off RS and checking the website etc but this feeling of sudden loss keeps coming back and I honestly think this is becoming a bit of a childhood trauma, and I keep thinking ‘I have to try and get 6 green masks back!’.
Obviously that will require months of hard work again and I just have too many responsibilities now to do something like that.

The more I log on to Runescape, the more I want to play it. With all the new updates coming out, the urge to play gets bigger and bigger. I used to play in intervals of 6-9 months, but a lot of old features have been re-implemented, and now I have a long term plan for playing Runescape. Another reason being is that now I have the most money I’ve ever had, which unfortunately is only 1.5 million gp. I would rather be poor than resort to options such as scamming or using bots. I also avoid begging but when an opportunity like this arises, it is hard to resist the urge to enter the competition. I do not plan on selling the party hat if I do end up getting it; party hats are becoming a rarity, and I will make sure that the party hat in my possession is to remain in my bank, and safely guarded. For me, party hats symbolize the good old days of playing Runescape Classic

K, well ye see it goes like this. I set up this competition to give one of my p-hats away and I let people join. I then decide who deserves the partyhat the most by doing little things like this. It is up to my best judgement to figure out who I think deserves the phat. It could have gone differently but it didnt.. Hey, man. If you’re serious about this, than so many kudos to you for giving back to the runescape community!

So, my name’s Richard, but my Runescape name is “The Angered”. I’ve been playing this game since 2005, although the earliest point I can prove is 2006 with my Easter ring. Anyway, I remember back when Seers and Fallador banks where as crouded as the Grand Exchange with players buying this and that. I made my first million off of buying and selling bow strings back then. Over the course of the years, I’ve been money making and skill grinding, and I’ve lost several million gold to various scams to the point where it’s hard to trust anybody on the game anymore, but it hasn’t made me selfish, and I often contribute money to people that I can tell are really in need (game wise). Unfortionately, even after all my work, I’ve come to own about 16 million all these years later, and as much as I’ve always wanted a party hat, they just keep going up in value faster than I seem to be able to make it.

I’ve always been a very legitimate player, never scamming or buying gold off of other sites, so it’s really hard to watch all these people who come onto Runescape and make some fortune in a few months using backhanded methods. Sadly, I don’t think that I’d ever really be able to afford a party hat on my own, but I truly believe that I deserve one after the years of work I’ve put into the game. I am nowhere close to quitting, but I also know that when I do quit eventually, I’ll pass any party hat that I own onto another worthy player.

My favorite color of Party Hat, and the one that matches my Runescape look best, is the Red Party Hat. It’s the one I’ve been striving for so long.

I decided to do what you are doing, and gave away some stuff. I ended up giving away 9 mil of stuff away. It may not seem like much to you, but that was almost everything I had. It felt great giving stuff away, seeing the reactions of the people that were lucky enough to recieve something from me. I’m not trying to suck up to you, but just letting you know: if I get the party hat, I will likely end up selling it, and dividing most of the money among random people.

Actually, I really did give away 9 mil worth of stuff. I made that from clue scrolls, and gave it away. 2 of the people I gave stuff away to, added me to their friends list: I gave one of them a dragon chainbody, and the other had recieved a warrior\’s ring. BTW, nobody cares what you think.

When you are considering a phat of any color, 5m is pocket change. I am still surprised to find some one kind enough to give away a phat anyway. If you want this phat just to sell it, you don’t deserve it. Getting one is a sign of epicness that just about every one wishes to have. Just consider yourself lucky that you are even have a chance.

mr.metal10 I found ways to get rich ether get your wood cutting level to 60 so you can cut yews or kill hill giants and get there giant bones and sell them and they cost about 618gp and if your a member you can slay dragons and tack there hides and bones and sell them the bones cost about 5000gp and you will need a good set of armor, anti dragon shield and good food like sword fish or shark and it matters what hide you sell like a black dragn hide or green d’hide but green drags are the easyest so start out with them
