How to Gain Combat Levels Fast in RuneScape (F2P)
Leveling up is a perpetual challenge in RuneScape. Perhaps this article will shed some light in terms of gaining those levels faster.
Leveling up is always a challenge in the game of RuneScape. It’s especially true in the free-to-play worlds because players have less access to those exp. lucrative avenues like soul wars and pest control.
However, remember that leveling up is expensive business. It’s very important that you learn the various methods on how to earn money fast.
Hopefully this guide can shed some light on leveling faster.
Levelling Walkthrough
Remember, it’s important to bring food with you throughout your training.
First, on the first few combat levels, start at goblins near lumbridge. Once you hit level 10 or so, head toward the east side of lumbridge, and cross the bridge. When you head north, you will find cows, and you should train there to level 20. Once you hit level 20 or so, head to the Stronghold of Security in Barbarian Village. Train off the level 12 minotaurs and level 10 wolves. You should be able to hit level 35 with ease. At that level, hit the level 27 minotaurs. Once you hit level 45, you should be strong enough to handle level 2 of the stronghold. Head down to the second level and kill the zombies.
What makes the Stronghold of Security such a great place to level is that you can progress at your own pace. When you feel like you are conquering all the mobs at the second level, move to the third level. As you progress through the levels, just move down the Stronghold of Security accordingly.
At level 90-100, you might consider fighting lesser demons at Karajma.
The rest of this walkthrough is pretty intuitive. Use common sense to tell yourself if you are ready to progress or not.
Consult this map of the Stronghold of Security.
As you progress through your levels, handle the monsters at the level that you see fit. Move down accordingly. Leveling becomes so easy here because you progress at your own pace.
Important Tips
- If you are leveling up normally and don’t want to be a pure, be sure to level up each stat equally. That is to say, when your attack is at level 10, your strength should be at level 10 as well. This is crucial for succeeding solely because equal stats allow a well-rounded build which is paramount for survival.
- It’s important to be patient. Remember that at high combat levels you earn a degree of respect which is unmatched. Keep that in mind and approach leveling with a positive head.
- Keep up with the food supply that you need. At higher levels, mobs become more perilous and hit a lot of damage. Having a good food supply is very important for survival
- Level up with friends. If grinding becomes too much of a chore, try to talk to some people around. Find a friend and you might be able to level together. They’ve always said that 2 gets the job faster than 1, so I would certainly imagine that the same logic can apply here. Having someone to talk to makes leveling faster than anything.
- Maintain a steady pace. Don’t handle mobs at a higher level than you are. In fact, it might not even be advisable to handle mobs at the same level as you. Just be careful as you progress through the Stronghold of Security to handle mobs that you can handle. Consult the map that I have provided above.
- Make sure you have money. If you want to earn money, refer to this guide on earning easy GP.
Just remember: Be patient and confident. Your levels will increase very quickly soon enough.
