How To Get 99 Fletching in Less Than a Month in Runescape
Sick of being the noob without the skill cape? Use this guide to help you.
What You Will Need
- About 3M+
- About 2+ hours a day on your computer
- Runescape knife
- Some type of axe.
- 20+ Woodcutting
Step 1: Starting Out (Levels 1- 40)

You will start on regular trees, using your axe, simply cut down a full load, and turn them into arrow shafts. Do this until about level 20 where you should switch to oak shorts/ longs.

Once at oak longs/ shorts you will go to the trees and cut them once again with your axe. You will make bows (U) but you will not string them. You have the choice to bank them or just drop. If you want to bank I recommend that you do it in front of the Camelot bank, there are trees just a click away from the banking spot.

Once you do a some loads of those, you will need to do willows. Witch is where you will start to need some money. You will need to buy about 5k willow logs (75,000gp) to reach you next goal of 55. Once you cut these into willow longbow (U) you can sell them to the general store and actually make money.

That will get you to 40 fletching
Estimated Time: 1-2 days, depending on your time online and how hard you work. (Some people have been known to finish in less than a day.)
Time to finish in less than a day: 4 hours of online time.
Step 2: The Middle Levels (Levels 41-70)
1. You will continue fletching willow logs in this step, until you reach 55 fletching, then you will move onto maple longs. (You will need about 5,000-7,000 willows.)
2. You will need money for this step; it will loose you about 300,000gp. Buy about 10k maple logs, and fletch them into longbows (U), if you don’t mind taking a little more time for 99, then I would suggest that you use willows. Just as you did in the step before this, you will gain a small amount of money from it, but it might take you a few more days.
3. The rest is simple, you will make these longs until level 70 fletching. Prepare yourself, these next levels are sometimes the most painful, and is where most people quit.
Estimated time to complete this step: 2-3 days.
Time it would take to complete in 2 days or less: 5 Hours a day on runescape, or more.
Step 3: The Challenge (Levels 71- 85)

Before you start this step, please remember that depending on the price you buy yews and bow strings, you might loose a portion of your money. I suggest if you are trying to get 99 you make some money back before continuing, unless you have 7m+.

This step is simple, but it tears you apart. Unlike magic longs (the next step) you don’t get exp that fast from yews. You will actually string during this step. You will need to buy a total of about 15,000 yew logs, and 15,000 bow strings in this step. If you do not have a lot of money (Like 12m+) then prepares yourself to buy in portions. For example: buy 2,000 yews and bow strings, and make them, sell them, and do it again. (You can buy your logs and bow strings easily in the Grand Exchange.

After doing about 15,000 yew longs, you will be about ready for the most expensive, but most exiting step. The magic longbow.
Estimated time for this step: About 6-12 days.
Step 4: The Hardest Part, But the Most Exciting

You are now approaching 99, and you are getting exited. You have a long way to go though. So prepare yourself.

This is what you will need: About 5M

5M is all you need; you will buy magic logs and strings, and simply do that until you reach 99

Congratulations, you have gotten 99 in less then a month

You dont need more than 550k to be efficient
But at lvl 85 it does help to have around 1.2m if you want to tart doing mages.
what you guys keep missing is one thing, you need 5m to get it in 1 month, i know you can get it with 100k, 1m, etc, just takes a while.

lol all you need is 200k buying mithril bolts(unf)buy feathers then stay in high world and sell finished bolts for highest price and wala not bad money and you dont lose any.I did this 5 times today and i know almost have 80 fletch =)

Nvm about that comment i made about 24. Mithril bolts (unf) is the best way to get up super fast and get rich fast! from today’s cost of those raw materials you make around 150k an hour doing them. Plus it is faster than yew bows (which take around 1.5 sec to do them) mith bolts can get you 50xp in .5 sec to 1 sec meaning that you can actually get to 99 fast with a profit of about 5m. That method got me up from 54 to almost 78 in about 5 days.

I was a member, and I got 99 fletching in more than a month at less than 13M. Gosh. Buy a dragon axe, chop willows and pick flax to bowstrings. Continue this until you have 60 woodcutting / 70 fletching, and do yew longs. It works, and its cheap =P

Make the mage’s, steal/make/buy nature runes and alch them or you could sell them.. But if you high alch them u make money and mage xp

Its not possible to get 99 in a week, even if you are fletching the best thing possible dont listen to him, also you could look it up on a skill calculater from 1-99 [anyway theres a lot of facts that go along with why you cant in a week, otherwise we would all have 99 skills by now!]. because ofthe higher price of yew logs you dont make money anymore unless you cut yews,pick flax and turn the flax into bowstrings or the fastest way to still make money buy flax and turn into bowstrings i dont do any of these though as i have enough moneyto get by but if you want to make money and still get it resonibly fast buy flax then turn them into bowstrings at lummy

Ok….first thing making magic longs doesn’t give that much more xp….in the long run you might finish a day or two earlier then what you would have had you used yew longs…..anyway….making magic longs is also sometimes slower because you can only by small amount of them say 2k at a time….this is why its better to say buy 10k yew logs 10k flax spin the flax to bowstring then make the yew longs…..even if ya buy the bowstring 70-99 still makes you around 2.5mill and if ya spin the flax into bowstring you make around 7-10mill….why you would use magic logs to get 99 fletching is beyond me…..if ya want 99 fletching reasonably fast and make a few million on the way….then use yew longs to 99….

LOL i have a couple of friend s who have 99 fletch and their lower cmb than me (im lvl 110 btw)and idk about u guys but i h8 it when lower lvls than me have a skill cape…so im going for 99 fletch and from 70-85 do yews they good exp till magic longs they good exp and u make a profit off them.
83 fletching atm going for 99 using yews, all u need is 587k you make a 40k profit per 1k yews from doing it.

Hey im a skiller. i did fletch till bout lvl 50 on my main bu its alot easy to string the bows. otherwise ur only etting half the exp per bow, effectively making it longer on urself. also its better to cut ur logs rathet than buy =] u get a gd wc lvl nd hopefully 99 fletch. Im getting 99fm on my skiller got it to 70 in a week ^-^, cb lvl 4 aiming for 99fm by end of the yr, any afvice? pm me :MythicFlame3

im 94 fletching now doing yew longs. trust me theyre really slow to make unstrung bows so i recommend buying the yew unstrung and then stringing them. its makes more money, and is faster. or you can spend and loose the money on magic long bows. depends if you want to make money going for 99, or spend whatever it takes to get it

Hola everyone just letting you know he left out the part of when you fletch maple longs i say dont string go to world 2 and saying selling junk for (the price of the longs uve made) and you sell it fast and boom you make money from maples……hope that little tip helps and if you cant get into world 2 seeing how hard it tends to be now go to forums and try to sell and still try to get in to world 2 while it is selling in forums and if you sell delete thread

just do what #16 said. buy unf mithril bolts in g.e. for lowest (yes it may take a while) and just as many feathers at mid price. u gain about 7gp per bolt and that really starts to add up. in one day i went from 300k to 2mil, and went from 55 to 59 flecting

Guys, you can do this with 600k, 100k etc. And do it in the same time. Don’t have to buy all the mages at once. Buy them, make them, sell them, buy them again. I think that helped some of the confusion.

u dont need 3mil, u need sum money for the lvs before 70 but once u hit 70 and use yew longs then u can make 37k per 1k longs, not bad profit

btw my fletching level is 73, im getting 99 but i dont want to spend any money is this a good way? 1. first i buy yew logs, 2. then i cut em into yew longbow (u) 3.last i add bowstring and sell. and i dont want to spend over 500k. and get 99 in less the 5 weeks and i play 3-4/24 hours a day

I currently have 99 fletching and it didnt cost me a dime.It is a useful skill indeed,but if it costs you like 4m it doesn’t become so usefull.you make millions but slow.Dont spend beacause is way slower and bad wc exp.why slower?? well if you need money you have to go and get alot of it and then buy,so wc your own and save time.one time I went from 39 to 70 in 1 day.it only took like 6hrs.I got about 8000k profit.1 hr with willow longbows and I had 200k and when I got to yew I made about 2000k an hour.So 1 day with magic = 17m.so 17m a day for 1 week,17m times 7 = about 100m a week.that can get you you full bandos and full santa items.so repeat for 1 month,30times 17m = about 450m.So if you keep repeating for like 1 year it is basicly like 10b. 10b can buy you every item on the game and impress all your friends with your cash. join my clan and get the new updates,I am currently finding a skill that provides over 1b a week.ps,you can also join the new and improved clan that is growing to become the best clan ever
smithing is good money for nonmembers. to get from 50-70 smithing (using the smelt ore spell instead of furnace runs) buy mithril ores, and 4 times that in coal. i f0und that it takes 5,535 mithril bars o get from 55 smithing to 70 smithing, seeing if you get 100exp per mithril item you smith. it may cost up to 4-5m to get all these bars. i am not sure as i buy a little, alot. you shouold probably stick to making 4.8-4.9k bars though. this results in small profit, but great experience. when at 70 smithing, do the same with adamantite. then runite, and then 99!

i think that the best way to get to 99 is to just make the best longbow you can then strung it after you have alot, and wen i say alot, i mean allllllott!

Yall want the secret… i got 99 fletching from 1-99 in 2 weeks and 3days. But this secret is too valuable to release. I started with 1.2M and now i have 11M. Good profit id say.

Very Very Poor Guide, Y would u want to spend so much for a fletching cape especially when you can make money from it, Some one with out a skill cape usually doesn’t have that much just laying around
the best way is shafts to 45 then willow longs (U) to 65 then yew longs to 99, way more cost effective only cost me 60k to get from 1-65… and yews is just gona be a profit..

i made 10mil off fletching to 99. Here is what i did:
from 1-55, fletch whatever logs u can get ur hands on. At lvl 55, maple logs until lvl 85. That will make you over 3mil if u can get rid of the junk, maple long u. From lvl 85 then on, u can either maple u all the way to 99, or speed it up double and cut magic logs and sell magic long u in g.e. Magic long technique will be much faster, but costs 5-7mil, but hey, if you go maple long u to 99, (10mil exp), itll make you 10mil by the time you are done, if u can get rid of junk. I lend out my dclaws or gs to get rid of my junk, and overnight, when im not using them, i can get 400k for 10 huors etc. and easily get rid of maple u. My username is venompker555. im 99 fletch but believe me i did 71-99 in 1 week, magic logs aren’t that fast but they are soooo expensive and u lose alot of money… u’d better buy yew logs in G.E and bow string and make bows out of ‘em u make profit though ^^

Hey, I got to level 81 in 4 days training about 3-5 hours a day. My tip is watch movies while you do it so it goes faster. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCOMSTANCES SELL YOU’RE (U) BOWS, trade them in for ancient staffs since ancient staffs do not trade for shizzle. Then high alch the ancients staffs for 60k each (if you cant high alch send someone a req request)

I’m at 92 fletching and it’s getting to be a real drag. The guide could use some work, because it’s important for fletchers to know about monetary loss and gain, as well as the starting capita required (how much money you need to start). For example, fletching magic longbows while alching them with bought nature runes will be very inefficient for time, though it might save some cash. Fletching yew longbows is the safest way to go because there is close to no monetary loss, but is inefficient for experience. The best technique that I have discovered is to use a sacred clay fletching knife (a proto-tool from the Stealing Creation minigame) along with fletching 1k portions of yew and mage longs, exclusively. Alternation of what you fletch is important in preventing boredom, but don’t stray too far as to making rune crossbows!

Guys Honestly 1-99 Fletch is simple i got it in under 4 weeks and only played for bout 2-4 hours a day but it does get boring and can drive you MAD. But take time off once and a while play for an hour then have a rest for an hour then continue, you don’t have tofor play 4 hours strait. And no you don’t lose profit at all you make bout 3M-4M depending how sustainable you are but its possible to get 11M+ but you must take the most profitable options ONLY!. But my suggestions are is that you buy yews and pick flax and string or vice versa.

guides good seeing as it still works a year or 2 later, I’ve been stringing yew longs since 70-97 it does take a long time and slower than magic but it equals out when you can buy 5k of something instead of 2k and ppl 80s are high number wise not xp wise

hey guys. my names john_hiih. thats my runescape username atleast. im NOT going to try this because it wastes money. i can make cash from 75-99. all you have to do is this.
1 – buy yew logs at mid price in the grand exchange.
2 – buy bow strings at mid price in the grand exchange.
3 – buy about 1k of both. fletch yew long bows.
4 – once your finished string them all.
5 – sell them and keep repeating this process intill you have 99.
6 – you will make only 1-2million doing this but it is worth the effort.
