How to Guide on Merchanting in RuneScape

How to Merchant in RuneScape.

There are 2 main ways of merchanting in Runescape. One is merchanting by yourself and the other is merchanting with merchanting clans.

Merchanting By Yourself

  • Picking an item :Go to Runescape.com and fine the section about Grand Exchange. Carefully observe different items till you find an item which has a history of going up an down quickly.

After you have picked your item observe weather the price is decreasing or increasing. If it is increasing then buy the items at medium price and later sell at high when it reaches it’s pinnacle. If an item is going down then but the item at lowest price and try selling at medium price right after that.

Here are some good items that quickly change: Obsidian shield, Santa hat, law rune, Rune scimmies etc.

Merchanting With Clans

  • Picking a good clan: Good clans will have a full clan and even several clan’s at a time merchanting the same item. They will also usually have a website which you can visit to find out which items is going to be next. It is very important to pick a big clan because the more people there are the better it will work
  • How it works: Merchanting clans work by making everyone in their cc keep buying items for max price for several days till the price goes up to what they wanted. Then everyone sells their items for the new higher price at medium price and makes a profit. Try to pick one good clan and try it out once to check for scams before investing millions into it. Also always try to buy the item when they first announce it not in the middle of the process.

All you need to do really is choose an item from the Grand Exchange Database, per say Barrows, God Wars, Dragon, etc. Then you buy the items at mid price or so and sell at max. This process usually takes a day or so, but its better than waiting 1-2 weeks with merching clans, isn’t it?

Honestly, I don’t trust merching clans. Apparently, only the ranks get the loot. I’d rather solo-merch because that way you’re in control of when you buy or dump your items, not some con-artists who use players to help give them profit…
