How to Make Money on Runescape by Woodcutting
This is part two of my three part series on making money on Runescape.
A Guide for New Players Pt.2
Introduction to money making
Ok, now in this guide, I’m going to briefly go through woodcutting. Many players favor wood cutting because of the future possibility of cutting yews and selling the yew logs for high prices. Ok, take the axe that was given to you when you left Tutorial Island. Go to some regular tree near a bank and start chopping. Take the logs back to the bank or drop them. Then, since not a lot of people will buy the regular logs, burn them. Once you hit level 15 woodcutting, immediately start chopping down oaks. There are some oaks outside of the big bank in Varrok. There are also some oaks outside of the big bank at Falador. After this, sell the oaks for 20-40gp ea. Once you get a lot of exp and level up to level 30, start hacking away at willows.
Now is the time for an equipment change. If you have been selling your oaks, or have been doing some other methods of merchanting, you should really consider buying an addy woodcutting axe or at least a mithril. Once you have acquired yourself a shiny new axe, head to Draynor Village and start hacking away at the willows near the village’s bank. Note: There are many people in this area, but the only other place to cut willows is on a tiny strip of land near the jail in Port Sarim, if you do not mind going the long distance to a bank, or only care about getting experience and don’t mind dropping the logs instead of selling them, then I highly recommend that you head to there and cut those willows down. There is almost always nobody there, and you can, if you want, turn on your auto-woodcutter, if you have one. Also, you have to be very patient, because you can only chop down willow trees until you reach level 60, hence you can chop down yews.
Now comes the moment you’ve been waiting for… YEWS!!!! Yes, if you have been diligently working, now you can finally chop down yew trees! Ok, some people like to chop down yews near the Edgeville bank, while some like to chop them down near the farm just outside of Falador. Either place is great, and the money you can make is awesome. Each yew log can go for as much as 250gp. And, if you further upgrade your woodcutting level, you’ll cut down yews a lot faster. After you have a good amount, like 1k if you’d like, head for any single digit world and sell the logs there.

magic logs on members are over 1k ea 28 would get oyu about 30k
im a lvl 77 woodcutter and the best place 2 cut yews would be varock main entrance, there is more than 5 yews 2 cut,and also when u get 28 logs put in the bank thats right by the main entrance,save up logs and sell at g.e (grand exchange). save up till about 1k logs then sell . to have more space in ur inventory get a lvl 40 attack and then weild ur rune axe.that way u can have 28 logs in ur inventory. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. wish me luck 2 99 woodcutting =]…. if u need help my username is nickstoeckel.. o and btw stick with willows even if ur a high woodcutter willows= best xp… =]
wilows all the way!!! woooooooooooooooo!!!!!! =P so yeah, cut reg logs till 20 wc, oaks till 40 wc, and wilows till 99… that’s my lil guide, sorta, if you want fast levels (plus a lil money on oaks) go by this, seriously, my friend got 99 wc by this, he got in 4 weeks… peace!!!

Hmm…. Woodcutting Yews is a Extremely Good way to make some easy Gold,but it is slow if your woodcutting is 60…So If I had 60 woodcutting i would wait till 70 to cut yews.

Hey guys, I have 93 woodcuting, and this guide is 100% true. Although, I’m a member, so I cut magics, or I use the new Sawmil =)
And wc is definitely a good way to make a ton of money, and so is fishing, and fishing is actually faster than wc and makes more money (if you’re a member, and you fish monks).
