Is runescape worth playing
Runescape, it controlled millions of kids in the world, but is it really worth playing?
Runescape, the mmorpg mostly played between from age 6 to 15. Millions are addicted to it, and new idols with high-level accounts are created, perfect example is zezima. But does runescape really worth the hours spending on it? Lets look at the pro and con of runescape.
PROs :
- It does not require purchase the game to play it. All players have to do is go on the site, register, and play, easy and simple.
- The game can be highly competitive and exciting. Features such as wilderness, mini games like the famous castlewars, barrows, barbarians assault are all very entertaining to play and enough.
- the very special thing about runescape is when a person dies, they do not lose experience or damage armor. Instead, they drop all the items on them except the best three items. This created numerous ways to play and fight for rewards. Wouldn’t you jump with joy as you see your opponent fell in the wilderness and leave a dragon chain body behind?
- Well, runescape also make friends online, some even go on further and become boyfriends and girlfriends, most of these friendship does not last long but it does happen in runescape.
- The five dollar per month price tag is extremely cheap compare to other games such as world of warcraft which cost 10 per month and guildwars which cost 50 dollars to buy the disc.
CONs :
- The graphic of runescape is dreadful, there is nothing to it. The people’s eyes are made of lines, bodies so blurry the genders between male and female can sometimes be confused.
- many accounts in runescape are hacked at least once, many people quit runescape just for this reason. The security is terrible in this game
- The fighting styles of the game are limited, you select a person to attack and you see the person does the exact same thing over and over again until you or the other is killed.
- sometimes when many people are on a world, it becomes extremely laggy. Primary example is world 2 Fallor Park. It is so lag here it takes 5 minutes to move one step.
- When trading, many people often fell for scamming tricks, for example, a person is buying rune 2 hand. A person comes and shows a rune 2 hand in notes, while the buyer is dragging money to the board; the seller quickly changed the rune 2 hand to iron 2 hand. The buyer did not notice and fell for the trick.
Overall, runescape is not worth to play because all of is pros are in other mmorpg. Maplestory is free compare to 5 dollars a month to runescape. World of Warcraft is more exciting and can make more friends than runescape. The cons of runescape however, does not exist in most mmorpg, many mmorpg have high protection, little scamming and runs very smoothly. Therefore people who are addicted to runescape, do some else, play outside, watch TV, do not play crappy games such as runescape.

the security thing is a lie.its peoples own stupid fault they get their account jacked.THe security is actully pretty good its just that hackers use human greed to take peoples account by offering free membersip.which is against the rules as u cant pay mambership for someone outside your family

first off! runescape gets so competitive my friends at school say they will hack me right to my face and we get into a actual fight about it.
second of all with zezima being the best at runescape! if someone COULD HACK someone else then zezima wouldnting be lvling up every time i see him in ranks with the xp!
third! everybodys looking at zezima like he’s the king which he is but wat about the people behind him in ranks!they r champs to!
and there is one thing that gets under y skin the most about rs players! they call zezima a noob and talk trash about hijm when he far more better then us all(not including the people behind him in ranks)!
another thing i might ad! will it matter in 10 years how good u were in runescape! truly ur taking time away from ur family which is painful to think of!

Well, personally, I love RuneScape. Other games, such as Club Penguin, get boring over 5 minutes. But RS has liek 100 quests to do! Runescape forever!

i say rs is awsome!!!!!!! yes the graphics suk a little and we do do the same thin but rs teaches ppl how 2 get along wit eachother, better typein skills, and work hardest u can for somethin u dream of becomein. but that also is a madder of oppinion i guess.

i am a skiller, and i can asure you that runescape is sometimes the last thing i want to do. All i do is to level another skill or go about the same business again and again. Especially runecrafting until of late, when the runecrafting guild was opened. The new runecrafting minigame is excellent. I love the new runecraft clothes and altar teleports.
look, i know that people who have tried runescape before did not like the game in it’s complexity. it is a difficult game to understand, and sometimes parts of the game are extremely boring, hence why people mock the game. to the people who have made slightly insulting comments about runescape:

I play it occasionally, but seriously guys, you say that Runescape imroves your typing skill, do you even look at what you type? almost every word is misspelled or abbrieviated. Play WoW, you don’t need to be rich, just get a freakin’ job.
And to all those who think that guildwars is expensive need to seriously look at the pricetag, $50 for lifleong play sounds good to me.

This thread should really be deleted or remade….Runescape’s graphics are allot better now (still not super good). The security Is very good now, and the only reason someone would get hacked is if they were stupid enough to download something with spyware in it or told someone their password. The servers have been updated and have almost no lag. If it takes you five minutes to move then its your computer, And they’ve set some trade restrictions so no more scamming.

Its good if you got time on your hands and stuff but it does take a while. The community is not very friendly (Mostly just a bunch of stuck up nerds) but I’ve met some cool people. You can tell that half the people that play runescape are retards just by looking at the comments on this page lmfao…
If you are going to start playing RuneScape I advise you to have some good self-esteem because most likely you will be called pretty much every name in the book.

Sorry about my little rant. This might be my opinion but if you survey almost anyone that has played RuneScape (unless there addicted) They will probably say its one of the worst games out. NOT BECAUSE OF THE GAME ITSELF. BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE THAT PLAY IT.

The Game itself its fun, but after a while you will regret it.
