Is The World Sick of RuneScape?
Yes, the majority of the world are getting sick of Runescape, including many people that play it…
Nowdays more people than ever are playing Runescape, and it is still the world’s most popular MMORPG with roughly 800 people signing up for a free account each day! So you wouldn’t think the world is getting sick of Runescape, but it is.
Despite the fact that many people play the game and enjoy it, Runescape has lost almost all of the impact it once had. This means that players don’t play it for as long as they used to, and when they reach max skills (which is quite common now) they will usually quit or sell/give away their account. But 800 new accounts being created each day would surely make up for the people that quit… right? Wrong.
Most of these 800 accounts that get created each day are being created by “the wrong sort of people”. People that are very young (8-10) and can’t/won’t purchase membership. Then there’s the fact that a lot of those people are just trying Runescape and will quit within a week or so.

Lolzer12 – Combat Level 98: In about the past 3 years Runescape has become really boring. Even though I haven’t maxed all my skills I’ve tried pretty much everything in Runescape and there isn’t much more to do. I was a member till about 6 months ago… Now I just go on Runescape 2 or 3 times a week to chat with some of my friends.
mrduck13 – Combat Level 102: Runescape started getting really crappy not so long ago… So pretty much I quit and gave my account to my little brother who plays the game. It was a mem but my brother didn’t renew the membership, so… yeah.
Noober77 – Combat level 90: I still play Runescape, but only for about half the time I used to, because there isn’t as much to do. My membership lasts for another 3 months so I may as well make the most of it. After that though I might stop playing and sell my account… Who knows lol!

The answer is yes. Runescape is lame. I played it for about a year. i quit. its soo boring. graphics suck, gameplay is repetitive, and theres nothing to do except for minigames.
oh and runescape isnt the worlds most popular MMORPG. its the third most mmo, and second most mmorpg. World of warcraft *nerds* is first, with over 8.5 million active subscribers. and thats good since its only pay to play. but still… runescape will maintain a position on the top ten MMORPGs list.
o and this may sound like a negative comment but its not lol.

Hey zizheng you’re mistaken. Runescape is not the worlds most popular MMORPG, but its the worlds most popular FREE MMORPG with 12 million players.
Runescape should only get boring for those new players who dont have the patience to get rich, those who cant get membership, or have played it for more than 4 years.
Runescape membership greatly expands the game and offers constant new areas to explore/things to do. As opposed to WoW, Runescape is continually expanded with new added areas and quests.
I would have bought another membership by now if Jagex had not ruined the game.
I suppose its personal preference, as many people still play and like Runescape, though at the same time a lot of people are getting sick of it. I’m not saying Runescape is boring, stupid etc and I have played it as a member for a decent amount of time (although I’ve given it up now).

Runescape has a estimated 5 million ACTIVE players, not 12 million. Its like geting the sum off a weekly basis of how many people have logged on. Its not accurate, and u need to actually acces info for the login thingys and stuff. What site did u get it off? it could be recent, or it could be old. And some people seem to think that playing abot an hour every 2 weeks counts as active. Runescape is still behind habbo hotel, which is also free. And runescapes been declining all the time, and even with the graphics update the graphs are still shit. i reckon the reason why so many people play runescape is they arent allowed to play download games or wateva.
Runescape sucks. (unless your a subscriber then its like 3/10)
