Jadex is Trolling Us!!!

The game runescape is going through a bad phase in a relatively new event. This new event is called the Gielinor Games where the 6 races across the world of runescape comes together for a sports event, created after the idea of the Olympic Games. One of the events held in the Gielinor Games is a marathon where players are to run to certain check points throughout the game world and the winner gets an award for finishing first. Unlike the other game events, this event is not held at all times and it is randomized to choose a random world and place for where it is held. This wil be announced to players through the chat box as a announcement in yellow. There will be several announcements for each marathon at 1 hour, 30 minutes, 5 minutes and 1 minute before each race to remind players where and when the race starts.
There are 3 different marathon checkpoints that are picked at random. Two of the checkpoints, at Edgeville and Morytania, are only for members (pay-to-play) players while the checkpoint at Varrock is for both members and free-to-play players. And there are also different worlds out there, some for free-to-play and pay-to-play players and others for only pay-to-play players.
A few hours ago, a marathon was announced to be at World 3 (a free-to-play world) at Varrock, announcing to players that it will start in 30 minutes. But the next announcement at 5 minutes before the marathon, the world was suddenly changed to World 2 (a pay-to-play world) and in the end, held at World 2. This left many players, especially free-to-play players who saw this as their only chance to participate in this marathon, unsatisfied at World 3, venting out their anger and disappointment. Some players took it well, saying it was mearly a typo or laughing it off but others decided that Jadex was “trolling us” or “stupid”. Other players also complaint that this wasn’t the first time this kind of thing happened. So the question is, did Jadex do these on purpose to fustrate free-to-play players and show them what they’re missing out for not paying, or were these mistakes?
