Merchanting on RuneScape Guide

Weather your trying to save up money to buy an armadyl godsword or just want some money, this guide off merchanting will tell you how to make money regardless of any level but you need at least 500k but 1m is advised. Don’t worry, soon you will be making 10-100 times that amount if you play your cards right. 

 The best way to make money, if you have a strategic mind, is merchanting on the grand exchange. I’ve seen players make millions upon billions off this method. (be warned though, I’ve also seen a lot of losses too.) I, myself, made my 250m off merchanting but I’ve seen quite a few losses myself. Again you can make more money if your a member but free player can make quite a bit of cash as well. The way to use this method most effectively is to go to the runescape homepage, go wave your mouse over the community button on the tool bar, and go down until you see grand exchange. Click on it then you will see the “item of the week” which is the most traded item of the week. These sort of things is what you are looking for but more on that later. Next scroll down and you will see price rises and price drops. Price rises is what you should have bought and price drops are the things you should buy now. 

The basic idea is to buy something that people want and will most likely rise in prices. For example if a hand cannon drops 9%, you should buy around 50-100and then wait for a day or too. Soon the price should go back up and that is when you sell. The best way to find out is to click on the item and see its chart for the past 90 days. If it keeps going down then buy it at its lowest (don’t worry, you will be able to interpret the graphs better as you practice) and sell it when you think that is the maximum peak point for that item. Generally you want to look for an item whose price goes up and down constantly instead of something like a rune scimitar which just goes in a line and almost never changes in price. Keep checking its price daily for maximum revenue. Don’t wait too long though, because it might go back down soon! ( Just for your knowledge, I merchanted water tiaras but I don’t know if it still works anymore. I don’t want to tell you my strategy and items because I want you to find your own.)

If you want your money fast, I suggest you flip sell. Flip selling is a concept in which you buy an item for 5% less and sell it for 5% more! If you bought the right item, you should wake up the next day and someone should have bought it. This will give you instant cash. But, unfortunately, only a few items work that way. My all time favorite item to flip sell is eggs. Eggs change in price very quickly which is what you look for in flip selling. The reason eggs vary in prices because some merchanting clan ( I highly advise you to NOT join a merchanting clan because the leaders of the clan are always selling and buying before to make sure they get the highest profit) might decide to start merchanting eggs and BOOM! The price of eggs sky rocket. Flip selling is a very efficient way to make money.

Again the best way to make money is to be creative and think of items that other merchant’s haven’t thought of yet. And of course you will need some luck but a good strategy beats luck any day in merchanting!
