Runes of Magic: Wood Cutting

Wood Cutting is a Gathering skill from the game, Runes of Magic. This Guide explains how to start wood cutting, train it, and what trees are available.

Wood Cutting is one of my favorite skills in every MMO that I’ve ever played, and this is also true for Runes of Magic.

To Begin your journey into Lumberjack fame, start by going to Pioneer Village and talking to Woody Woods. You also have to learn as part of a large chain of Beginner level quests to Learn about all of the Gathering and Processing skills, along with other important aspects of the game.

After you have become a woodcutting apprentice, the only things that you can cut are Chime Wood (Very Rare) and Ash Wood (Heck of Common). Chime Wood is much rarer, and When I was training I found it helpful to try to get 78 Chime wood Logs, so that I could make a full scale Chime Wood Plank. This made my training faster because I had set myself a goal, and a set time to reach it (Works when cleaning your room as well…).

Once you get up to level 8, you can cut Willow Trees. Stone Rotan Wood Can be Cut beginning at level 11, and is worth lots of moolah, so cut them when you can.

By now, you have already learned most of the ropes, so you don’t really need anything except some level information. You (Hopefully) by now know the training methods that work best for you.

Here are the levels of Every Wood in the Game: (Note that the Highest Level Possible for any gathering skill is 61.)
