RuneScape 1-99 Cooking Guide for Members and Free to Play

Cooking is one of the easiest skills in runescape to get to 99. It’s very common, but if you like the cape enough, have some money to spend, and have the patience to get 13mil exp, then continue with my guide.

1-40

The first 40 levels should be extremely fast and easy. If you have the money and don’t mind spending a tiny bit to save a load of time, head to the grand exchange and buy as many fish as you wish to do in a single run. Once you cook all your fish, note both the burnt ones and the cooked ones. Drop the burnt ones and sell the cooked ones back on the grand exchange. They might not sell right away, so just leave them and move on to your next load. This applies for all 99 levels to come.

Start off with Shrimp
-Found in many places such as karamja dock, bandit camp, draynor village, catherby
-Caught with small net
-Exp is about 32k an hour

As soon as you can move up, switch to herring.
-Found at karamja, draynor, al kharid
-Caught with fishing rod and bait
-Exp is about 53k an hour

Next up is trout
-Found at river lum and barbarian village
-Caught with fly fishing rod and feathers
-Exp is about 75k an hour

Switch to salmon when available
-Found at river lum and barbarian village
-Caught with fly fishing rod and feathers
-Exp is about 95k an hour

Tuna
-Found at catherby and karamja
-Caught with a harpoon
-Exp is about 110k an hour

Congratulations, you’ve passed the first milestone!

40-90

As you begin your long road of the next 50 levels before you, you’ll learn a lot about what works for you best. You’ll learn about new cooking spots and figure out your favorite. You’ll find the best configuration for your bank to get your cooking done in the least amount of time possible. So don’t worry, just get out there and everything will fall into place. You’ll be an expert cooker in no time.

Lobsters
-Found at fishing guild, catherby, relekka
-Caught with lobster pot
-Exp is about 153k an hour

90-94

Monkfish
-Found at piscatoris fishing colony
-Caught with small net
-Exp is about 195k an hour

94-99

Shark
-Found at fishing guild, catherby, karamja
-Caught with harpoon
-Exp is about 270k an hour
