Runescape 1-99 Woodcutting Guide (F2P)

Introduction

In Runescape Woodcutting can be a great money maker, but have you ever wondered how you would ever get to 99. Today I will show you what I did to get 99WC in F2P.

Getting the supplies

When you start out the first thing you need is a hatchet. You can go to Bob’s Axe Shop (in Lumbridge) to purchase a bronze hatchet. Later on we will be getting better hatchets. 

1-15 – Normal Trees

Now that you got your hatchet, you can now walk around Lumbridge and see plenty of Trees(NOT Oaks, Willows, but Normal Trees), you can start chopping away. From level 1 starting with 0 experience, you need to cut 97 logs to get level 15.

15-30 – Oaks

Now that you have 15 Woodcutting, you can now cut oaks. Oaks can be found at Draynor around the bank, right now Oaks are 57gp each so we want to bank these to sell later. From level 15 to 30 you need to cut 284 Oak logs. 

30-60/75 – Willows

Now that you have 30 Woodcutting, you can cut Willows. The best place to cut Willows is at Rimmington not Draynor. Draynor is always packed and you can barely get trees, but at Rimmington there is a lot fewer people. At Rimmington you can either do Firemaking, drop the logs, or sell in the general store. One you get 41 Woodcutting go to the GE(Grand Exchange) and buy a rune hatchet which cost 19-20k. The reason I am not stopping at 60 for yews, is that at level 60 Woodcutting, cutting yews is very slow. Around 75-80 Woodcutting is when you want to start other wise you are going to go nowhere. You need to cut 17,713 willows. OR you can go against my advice and from 30-60 and you will have to cut 3,836. But remember even though there is a big difference between the two, Willows are the fastest XP, about 50k xp/hour.

60/75-99 – Yews

Now that you got 60/75 Woodcutting it is time to start making moneys. Now you can either go straight from 30-99 with Willows if you want. But if you want to make some money, I would cut Yews, about 450-500gp a log. About 13k-14k a load. You can cut yews at Varrock, Lumbridge, Draynor, Rimmington, but where ever you cut them, there is always people there. From 75 Woodcutting you need to cut 66,846 yews or from 60 Woodcutting you need to cut 72,756 yews.

And there you go you have 99 WC. Do realize this takes a lot of time, but it is awesome in the end! Always remember Willows are the fastest xp but no money, and Yews are slower but a lot of money. Happy Woodcuttin’
