RuneScape 2012 Firemaking Guide

F2P and Members Firemaking Guide up to date in 2012!

To be honest, for free players there is no alternative; you gotta burn those logs. Of course the better logs yield the most experience but also cost more. My general advice would be cut the logs yourself, bank then burn at a later date. Net loss = 0, Exp Gain = MAX!

For members, it is slightly different, several methods open in the higher levels. The best 2 of which are as follows:

Jadinko’s Lair

This training area yields some of the best experience in-game in fire-making, but also grants some woodcutting experience at the same time. You must run about the cave cutting the curly roots (4 per root) then burn them in the fire pit. The best part about this is that the burning is all done automatically for you, and the collection of roots really doesn’t take all that long. Each root gives 378.7 Exp – That’s about 10,604 Exp per inventory! In this way you can make up to 350k Exp per hour. Not many other skills have the facility to make anywhere close to that amount, and yet somehow fire-making isn’t one of the more popular skill capes?

Char’s Cave

After completing the newest fire-maker’s Curse quest, You can access Char’s Cave at level 91 fire-making. The aim is simply to create fires in the shapes of things close to her heart, Using your book of Char.

The Maximum one can hope to get during one session is on average 130k in 10 minutes! sadly you can only do this activity once a week. But in addition to the exp from the Fire-making sections of the Circus, you can clock up over 200k Experience per week in under 20 minutes!

Good advice, are there any quests required for the jadinko’s lair method?
