The good side

Runescape is one of the worlds leading MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games).It has over five million users.
But you may ask, what makes Runescape a very successful game? Well if you ask me, these are the answers to your “Whys”.
First is Runescape’s skills. You get to train different skills, prayer, cooking, fishing, woodcutting, mining, smithing,
firemaking, thieving, farming, making herbs, summoning, attack,defence,strength, magic, range, construction and much more!
Second is Runescape’s 3d graphics, it has 2 modes to fit you and your graphic driver, standard detail(low detail) and high detail.
Third, is Runescape’s approach to the real world. It has a system of worldwide trading, the Grand Exchange. The Grand Exchange
is a system that allows other players to trade with other players while on another world (World 1 trading to World 2). The
Grand Exchange is like a stock market. For example, Player A wants a bronze sword, he goes to the Grand Exchange with the
money the sword costs, he just clicks a few buttons and then he waits for a player who sells a bronze sword in the Grand
Exchange. What happens is that he exchanges money for an item. It is also an introduction for basic business and the stock
market. Fourth, is Runescape’s quests. It has over one hundred quests desgined to improve your character. Fifth, is Runescape’s
economy. When ever an item is in demand, the value goes down. When ever an item is not in demand, the item goes up. So what
does this mean? For example 100,000 pieces of rune scimitar thats costs 40k each normally goes down to 10k. Then suddenly,
the next month, only a few thousand gets sold. So what happens? The price may go up to 100k! So the 100,000 of rune scimitar
that costed 10k last month, now costs 100k! So if you bought 10 rune scimitars for 100k, now if you sell all of it, you will
get a million! Wow! Last but not the least, is its chat system. Bad words are filtered and you can make friends thru the
chat system! Who knows you may be making a hundred friends a day .

The bad side

Runescape is somewhat a very hard game. Why? Lets give an example. Training strength. Here are dialogs.

Player A: Yes finally level 98 strength! Only one more level and i have maximum level! Woot!!
Player B: Wow! You’re so cool but how many exp left till max level?
Player A: uhh…. over a million?
Player B: What!! Every one hit on a monster is only 4 exp!! O.O!!
Player A: I know it looks like I’ll train nonstop from January 2010 to January 2011.

This is a true fact. I have played this game for two years and im only Lvl 40! while the maximum level is Lvl 136!
