RuneScape: All About The Great Orb Project

The Great Orb Project (YES, IT IS GREAT!!!)

The Great Orb Project is a minigame in Runescape that is very, very usefull. You can make money, get experience at runecrafting, have fun, get a cool staff with a talisman in it (the staff isn’t that usefull, but it gives a nice visual to your character), and get some awesome mage robes! Learn all that now!

How do I play, what is the story, and where is this?

Well, the Great Orb Project is at the Runecrafter’s Guild, so, you will need to have a Runecrafting level of 50!(Now you say WTF? THIS IS A F****** HIGH LEVEL!!!, but calm yourself. Here I will give a little guide about how to get level 50 Runecrafting in some time) The Guild is at the Wizards Tower. Go to the second floor, and enter the portal. You will be in the Runecrafting Guild!

Now, you probably want to know about the story behind the game, and the game, how to play it. I will explain: Two Wizards, Vief and Acantha, were researching about Runecrafting. They discovered that, when a person makes a rune, orbs get out of the altar. Acantha says that green orbs get out of the altar, and they are a powerfull force, and when the power isn’t used, it turns into a yellow orb, a waste, that has no use. Vief says that yellow orbs are good, and green ones are the bad ones. You need to choose which Wizard you will help. I don’t want to force you to do anything, but I am used to go in Acantha’s team. Choose a Wizard, and get to the work. When you choose a team, you will need to wait to the portal to open, get in it, and when you are in an altar, you need to use your wands to put your team’s orbs at the altar. Use the attractor wand to pull the orb in your direction, and the repeller to push the orbs to the direction your character is looking. The barrier wand makes barriers to stop enemy orbs from getting to the altar. Use them wisely, and make your team win!

Well, okay. I know the story, how to play, but now, the interesting: How to make money with this, and how to get Runecrafting experience with that?

Oh! I need to end what I was saying. When a round of the game ends, you will get tokens for your work. You can exchange your tokens for awesome items. Talismans, teleport tablets, cool robes, runecrafting staff, pure and rune essence, etc. Well, you can buy a lot of Water talismans, for example, and sell them, as they are expensive. You can get about 100k for each win. So, you see, it is profitable, huh?

The experience? Oh! When you end an altar, you will get some rune essences(pure if you are member). You can make the runes there, with no need of a tiring and boring distance of walking.

Okay, this is awesome, I want to play it NOW! But I don’t have the required Runecrafting level!

Well, my non-runecrafter nooby friend, I can help you giving a small guide, so you will stop being a noob at runecrafting  low level runecrafter, and will be a incredbile runecrafter!(The ways are for free-to-play)

First, the slowest way, if you don’t want to spend money:

First, mine (buy if you can use some money) some rune essence. At least 1500 rune essence. Make air runes, and sell them if you want. When you get a runecrafting level of 5, make water runes. When you get level 9, make earth runes, and 14, fire runes. If you want to make runes faster, use the earth runecrafting gloves(not runecrafter gloves) from Fist of Guthix, and craft Earths. you will need at least 10 gloves, if you want to use the gloves all the way. When you get level 10-20, you will probably need more rune ess. Mine/buy it, and go again, and again, and again.

Now the expensive way, but a bit faster, but with a good time of walking.

Make airs untill you get level 2 (17 air runes can do it) and then buy 163 tiaras, and 163 mind talismans. Make mind tiaras untill you get level 20. Sell your tiaras (can take a lot of time) and make body tiaras. You can buy at least 900 tiaras and 900 body talismans, because you will need them. Make body tiaras untill you get level 50. This is a very expensive way, but you can get your money back, using the Great Orb Project, right?
