RuneScape: An Updated Guide to Agility

With all the new updates surrounding the skill Agility, here is a new guide for you to look at.

Here’s an updated guide to efficiently training agility.

Agility is one of the harder skills in Runescape to master – it requires concentration, and constant clicking! It also takes a real long time to level, with it’s max xp/hour around 60-67k experience for every hour of play!

Now, Jagex has added to the Gnome and Barbarian Outpost agility courses, allowing for higher levels to get the max xp/hour more easily. However, it still takes a long time for one to reach 99 agility.

If you’re looking for what courses you should use when trying to get 99 agility, I suggest you follow the guide below:

Lvl 1-35 Gnome Stronghold Agility Course (basic course)

The Gnome Stronghold Course is the course you should always start with. You won’t fail there at all so it’s the obvious choice. You can do this course up to 35, or you can stop as early as 25.
This course can give you a good 6k xp/hour, which is quite good for low levels.

Lvl 25-40 Skullball (Alternative)
The Creature of Frenkenstein Quest has to be done in order to access this fun Agility Course.
You must also wear the Ring of Charos to get in (obtained from the quest).
The xp from this course varies, though it is a bit better than the Gnome Course xp.

Lvl 40-46/50/55 Brimhaven Agility Arena
One of the best known courses in the game. This mini-game can make you money, if you choose to trade in your tickets for herbs or even the hook. However, this isn’t really the best xp in the game, so do move on when you can.

Lvl 40-52 Agility Pyramid (Alternative)
The purpose of this minigame is to get to the top as fast as you can and get the golden pyramid.
You must have started Icthlarin’s Little Helper quest to have access to this course. Completion of the
Contact! quest is recommended too, so you will have access to the bank of Sophanem. You can start and end the course by talking to Simon Templeton.

Lvl 52-60/65 Wilderness Course
This course used to be quite popular because of it’s low failure rate. Sadly since the removal of the Wilderness it’s popularity has decreased dramatically. Still, it’s xp rivals that of Ape Atoll, and if you go a good hour without encountering Revs, training will go super fast here!

Lvl 60-80/85 Ape Atoll Course
This course is my personal favorite. The advantages at this course, is that you can’t get random events in Monkey form, and you don’t fail at this course after level 75. This course is really quite fun, and is the best option to level 80/85. It maxes at around 54k xp/hour.

Lvl 80-85 Dorgesh-Kaan Course (Alternative)
At level 80, you have the option of training at the Dorgesh-Kaan Agility Course. Now, since Jagex updated agility, this course gives almost the exact same experience as the Ape Atoll Course. What’s more, is that you can and will fail this course while training. So, only use this course if you are sick of Ape Atoll, or if you like Dark Caves infested with Goblins…Oh, did I mention you have to remember what item to get Turgall? I personally dislike this course, in case you can’t tell, but it all comes down to personal opinion. Who knows, maybe you will enjoy using this course!

Lvl 85-99 Advanced Gnome Stronghold Course
One of the two high level courses for Agility. You won’t fail at this course after level 89 Agility. This course gives basically the same xp/hour as the Barbarian Outpost Advanced Course, and I enjoy it more. However, the good news about the xp being the same, is that you can alternate between both courses in your quest for 99 agility!

Lvl 93-99 Advanced Barbarian Outpost Course (Alternative)
The highest level course in RuneScape, with pretty much the same experience as the advanced Gnome Stronghold course. You can’t fail this course if your agility level is higher than 93. You can alternate between this course and the Gnome Stronghold Course (Advanced segment) to get to 99, if you like.

I hope you like the guide. This is, I believe, the most efficient method to training agility — Especially if you’re going for 99!
