RuneScape: Ankou Drops

I’ve tried to make a few RuneScape posts on money making, and it’s all getting declined because of ‘too many results on that topic.’ So I thought of something new, and boy do I have it.

This method here will earn you loads, maybe even more than yews if you have an appropriate combat level, as well as get you more experience in that combat level.

I used to be a member, but now I’m not anymore, and am trying to get that back again if I can.

I’m hoping this will earn me more views. The tip is to kill ankous, as simple as that.

Ankous can be found in the fourth floor of the Stronghold of Security, and are described as bony ghosts. They’re appearances are skeletons, with a slight red background to them. They are at the levels of 72, 82 or 86, with 60, 65 and 70 hit points respectively. They are relatively weak to stab attacks, so try to hit them with a dagger or long sword. They give real good experience for users at a combat level of 80 onwards, and have extremely good drops as well. For members, they give incredible drops and are the main source of money for members at a combat level above 90.

Even if your combat level is below 80, maybe even below 70, ankous can create a bit of havoc, but give good drops nevertheless as well as decent experience.

Now for what they drop (free users only):

• Mithril Ore (400 coins each)
• 2 Law Rune (300-350 coins each)
• 5-20 Adamant arrow (100-150 coins each)
• Black robe (700- 750 coins)
• 15 Rune essence (60-70 coins each)
• Steel Platebody (1000 coins)
• 10 or 20 death runes (350-400 coins each)
• 3-500 Coins (most common)
• Uncut Gems (sapphire, ruby, emerald, diamond)
• Left skull half (can form skull sceptre)

These can add up to a lot of money if you bring a good supply of food as well.

For members, ankous give a way bigger income. The biggest they can drop is a dragon longsword, and that is extremely rare. They can also drop dragon and rune spears which are extremely rare as well. They drop blood runes, which are used for high spells (member only). They drop tooth half of a key, which can be sold for an astonishing 50,000 coins. Other drops for members include various herbs and seeds, as well as all four charms which are used in summoning (gold, green, blue, crimson).

I hope this RuneScape guide helps. It does for me and I’m only a level 72. So no need to get a good woodcutting level although it is recommended, just train combat instead, and train it further and gain cash at the same time by killing ankous!
