You can get Rainbow shoes after you reach the destination in Stronghold secruity, located in Barbarian village, but remember to bring some food if you are a low level because level 80s ghosts are there and they are aggressive. Lots of ways to gain money if you are a member, but if you are a nonmember, just train your woodcutting level to 60 and cut yew wood in backyard of vorrack castle and store them in Bank of GE, they can sell for around 400 coins each. But It would take you a while to get 1.37mil and buy Rune trimmed

Rune armour is the 2nd best armour for f2p!
There are still the spiked versions of a square shield and a kite shield (from adamant up to rune which require 35 defence and 45 defence).
The best armour and weapons for f2p are the Corrupt Dragon weapons and armour parts.

but the corrupt dragon disappears in 30 min(?) i think and for the weapons the special att doesn’t even work in f2p. so yes they are better but its a waste to buy/obtain them only to use for 30 minutes. so i guess rune is the best option but the corrupt dragon has the most power/strongest

you can get rune full (g) in a day if you woodcut, and sell logs, or mine and smith, of fish, or cook. Most skills at high enough levels give good payback
