RuneScape Attack Guide F2P

This guide will tell you how to train attack and explains what attack does. It also gives an overview of which monsters you should train on at what levels. Starts at level 3.

RuneScape Attack Guide F2P

Attack in RuneScape is a skill that when trained allows weaponry to be wielded. Attack is trained by killing monsters and exp is also given through the Vampire Slayer quest. Attack is most effective if trained in conjunction with strength and defense.

When you start RuneScape your attack level is 1, and so you have the ability to wield bronze and iron, iron being the preferred as it hits more. At level 1 attack it is best to train on chickens. Chickens are located North of Lumbridge Castle and also across Lum River. Collect their feathers and also the Raw Chicken. When you get a full inventory go to G.E and sell them. When you reach level 5 use the money you got from selling the chickens and feathers to buy a Steel weapon, a steel scimitar is probably best although you can get a steel scimitar AND steel 2h sword. Keep on training at the chickens until level 10.

At level 10 go to G.E and get yourself a black weapon, again probably a scimitar or scimitar and 2h. Now that you have 10 attack you can start on killing cows. Cows are level 2 and have 8 hit-points. Cows drop cowhides which can be sold for 100 – 150 each, or 250 if you make it into leather. You make leather by tanning cowhides at a tanner (recommended one is Al Kharid). Train until level 20 then you can switch to Mithril weapons, (btw as you progress through levels, you can sell your previous weapons as they are no longer of use to you)

At level 20 you should start training on monks, dwarves, minotaurs or higher level goblins. Train until level 30 until you can use the adamant weapons.

At level 30 it would be wise to get an adamant 2h and scimitar. With your new weapons you should train on lvl 20 monsters, such as hill giants etc. Train until level 40, this is when you can use the best weapons for F2P, the rune weapons.

At level 40 most people decide to stop training (recommended) attack as there are no further advantages of training attack past 40.

For level 40 + Generally try to train on monsters either the same level as you or no more than 5 levels higher and no more than 10 levels lower.
