RuneScape: Before & After The Hd Update
I will talk about the HD update in wow and the improvements RuneScape has got after this "HD update".
About the HD update
I think the High Definition update was the best decision ever to be taken in the history of Runescape. It was such a crappy graphic before. (You can still play in the old mode “Standard Definition“. It’s so bad.)
When you’re used to play in High Definition and then look back at Standard Definition it looks really bad. I really don’t understand why i played Runescape before the High Definition Update.
I remember waiting forever to experience the High Definition. So many bugs when it came out but I think they’ve done a good job fixing that.
Anyway here’s some pictures to show the enormous change:

I’m not sure if you can see the pictures right. If you can’t then watch this video. It shows everything i want to show to you: [VIDEO]

How to play Runescape in High Definition (members)
Click “Play Runescape” on the new Runescape front page to get to the Detail Select page. Then click the right-hand button, “Runescape High Detail”, to select the new version. Now choose a world and enjoy.
(If you’re not a member you can still play HD – but not in full-screen. If you want to get close to the full-screen effect: click F11 to set your browser to full-screen mode)
To play Runescape HD, your computer will need the following system specifications:
1.5 GHz processor or higher
256MB of RAM or more
64MB 3D Graphics card, such as Nvidia® GeForce™ 3 or above
Sun Java 1.4 or higher

You can always change the Detail and the different settings in the in-game setting panel.
When your graphics are set, Runescape will always remember those settings and load them as the standard settings on your computer. You’re able to change these graphics options at any point.
Your opinion
This is the end. I know it was a really short article but all i wanted was just to show you the “before & after” effect which is covered by the great Youtube video.
Now I would really like to hear Runescape players opinion. Do you like the new HD update? What is good and what is bad about it?

I played this game for a while before the HD update, and I liked it, but now, when I look back to the standard view, its terrible by comparison.
Yea it has really improved..
Thanks for commenting on so much Andrei!

Hmm,
Ok, your article isn’t bad, but the “screen-shots” (it should just be screenshots) and youtube video should have the original owner’s name.
And yes, HD is alot better, I can’t understand how I was able to play the game in Standard.
-The Journalist
Easy now “The Journalist” Triond.com wouldn’t let me submit my article becourse I spelled wrong. When I used their suggetion which was “screen-shots” instead of “screenshots” I was able to submit it. So.. Triond can be weird.
By the way I don’t care about the owner of the videos name.
It’s one of my friends and my point here is not to tell you who made the video. I just want to show you the before & after effect.

Ah ha!
I thought I remembered you from somewhere, you recently commented on one of my articles, I see you are using my little -The Journalist thing at the end of each of your comments, that’s fine, and ok, sure no problem.
-The Journalist??
Yea i always write “-Anders Hegelund” after my comments. Just something I’ve always been doing
I can’t play Runescape without HD!
Me either!
The original standard detail wasn’t bad at all, it wasnt until they brought out HD that standard detail got so screwed up.
You’re right. the HD was screwed in the beginning but I think they’ve fixed it. i really like fullscreen and HD now.
What do you think ?
-Anders
I don’t like the Full screen at all, The menus just take up way to much space. now i know you can click them down, but i prefer to see what people are typing, and also to be able to look my my stats/inventory.
I agree. I think the original size is very fine too. Fullscreen is too confusing. But i love the High Quality!
