RuneScape Combat Types

A list of combat types to choose from.

As you guys know PKing is a tricky and risky thing to be doing, but if you do it right it is very rewarding so read on to learn to do it properly.

First off is the attacks you train, you can train one (pure) or even two attacks (as a hybrid, which I will talk about later) but never three because if you do you will not be able to hit to your full potential. I recommend not training defence as some people will just say “Your sad defence noob” or “Yeah ok hide under your stupid armour” and run. Hybrids usually focus on two skills, the most popular is range and magic the second most popular is strength (2h) and range and last of all is strength and magic.

The second thing I will teach you about is hybrid’s strategy (level 20) , with range and magic for example if a person has lets say, 20hp? You range him/her until about 10hp is left then you use magic on them. Then you will get your drop.

Now I will teach you 2h and range (level 20), just pretend that there is this other guy with 20hp aswelll you range him until like 5-9hp then as you lift your bow you equip your 2h this will cause the bow to shoot and you will damage him with the 2h at the same time.

Don’t forget about the strength mages, imagine the guy came back so you just attack with your scimitar until he has like 10hp then you use magic (pretty much same tactic as hybrid).

Now I am going to talk about pures. Pures only train one skill, except for warrior pures which usually train strength and attack. These are the ones I am going to talk about first, these are pretty straight forward. You train strength and attack (usually to 40 each before pking) and you hit your opponent hard as you have no defence.

The magic pures are probably the best pure as they can do heaps of damage (about 10) just at level 20! The bad part is that they have almost no defensive bonus. If you get to level 58 and you are a member you can freeze opponents with ice rush and they cannot hit you (unless they are rangers).

Range pures are very accurate and they do constant damage which can be very annoying and in my opinion, are the best pure. At level, ooh lets say… 30? They do constant 3-7. Then you have to keep eating and they become a pain in the neck.

Thanks for reading my list and I hope you remember this information for the next time you PK
