RuneScape: Creating a Strength Pure
Here is a new guide on how to make a great strength pure in runescape.

Introduction
Strength pures are the most common types of pures in the Pvp worlds/ Bounty Hunter. They are really cheap to maintain, yet pretty hard to train if not done correctly. This guide focuses on an up-to-date way of training, and was written in March 09. This is the most efficient way to train your strength pure, so read on my desciples – loads of knowledge awaits within!
Step 1: Starting Out.
When creating a good pure, it is important to have a unique name. Most of the other guides will tell you to put ‘X’ s and numbers onto your name, but that just shows the lack of originality, and the people who look at you will think: “Jeez, just another stupid pure who is ruining RS” instead of “Wow he weilds a rune scimitar at level 32!”. Make sure that your name shows who you are, and never use “Pure” “Own” or any other player killing slang. Once you have created your account, blast through tutorial island, and get your character to the mainland. The first thing you should do is visit Sir Vant, who is located in a dungeon of a small house right next to the Lumbridge Castle. He will tell you about his epic fight against a dragon, and if you ask to slay it for him, he will reward you with 2 experience lamps each worth 250exp. Use it on attack, to get an instant level 6. This will decrease the number of weapons you will need to buy, excluding iron. Walk to Barbarian Village, and visit the Stronghold of Player Safety. After completing a miniquest and a quiz, you will recieve 2 500xp lamps, which should, again, be used on attack. This will get you level 12 attack, and you will now be ready for some serious training. You will also recieve 10,000gp, which will be spent in the grand exchange.
Walk to the Grand Exchange in Varrock. Here you will need to buy the following items:
Steel Scimitar, Mithril Scimitar, Adamant Scimitar, Amulet of strength, Amulet of defence, Full iron armour, Gloves and Boots, 10 Team capes. Spend the rest on trout.
Step 2: Low level training.
As always, start training at chickens. Some great places are south of falador, and north of lumbridge. You should train strength to 15. By the time you get 15 strength you will have collected 2000 or so feathers, which can be sold for another 10,000gp. After you are 12 attack and 15 strength head over to Edgeville. Just north of the bank there is a house full of level 2 men. These are great training, and you could easily get 20 attack and 30 strength here in under 2 hours.
Step 3: Mid level training.
By now, your pure would be pretty good, hitting 5s and 6s easily. However, this is not the time to Pk, instead lets sacrifice about 6 hours to get us to 40 attack and 40 strength. This is the most boring and frustrating 6 hours of your pure’s runescape life, so make sure you have got music or some other form of entertainment. Head over to the monks in the monastery right next to edgeville. You will not need food, because the monks will heal you if you talk to them. The monks are level 5, and have low defence, giving you around 70 exp in attack or strength per monk. I guarantee that you will be bored, so take regular breaks, yet DO NOT GO PKING. At some point you will finally get the magic 40 for both attack and strength, and the most boring and frustratingly slow part of the training will be over!
Step 4: High level training.
You might think that leveling up is way too difficult, but I will assure you that you will never hit a monk from now on. For most people I know, this part is the most enjoyable, as it requires almost no clicking, fighting over monsters – there is plenty for everyone. Before you begin, use the 10k you recieved from the feathers, and buy cakes from the G.E. for 80 each. Cakes are the best training food available for F2p pures. One cake heals as much as a lobster, yet it costs three times less. Head to the stronghold of security, go through the first floor, and enter the second. Now keep going south until you reach a room with only flesh crawlers. There are atleast 20 in that room, and they will attack you, so you will be free to chat with other pures in the room! Even though, at the end of the day your Dental Health level will be 0, your strength will be 50 in only about 3 hours.
Step 5: Pray Up.
As you begin Pking, you will realise that you will die quite a few times. Losing a rune scimitar every time you die is not nessecary and can be avoided. This is why you should raise prayer to 25. For this you will need to make a lot of money, so kill hill giants and sell the big bones, buying the small bones to bury. This could be pretty annoying, but I see fun and challenge in killing giants, so I don’t mind it. Once you are level 25, you will be ready to explore what the Pvp worlds have to offer.
Step 5: Lets go Pvp!
Now that you are finally done with training, all that time you spent kiling monsters will finally pay off! Make sure to have the best fool available and plenty of strength potions. Having a rune 2h handy could also prove useful. This is the perfect time to use your pure, as it overpowers both rangers and mages.
Thanks for reading my Pvp Strength Pure Guide.
If you liked this guide, you will definately enjoy reading:

hitpoints are important for a pure so u should consider training range and mage.. 5/5 guide
yo bro, this article is okay, but if you really want a good runescape pure people “keep 1 defense, 40 attack, and at 50 str get your prayer up to 13 for superhuman str (it lets you hit +1 higher) and then at 70 strength get 31 prayer (lets you hit +2-3 higher) then you would normally hit, and yes hitpoints are very important so train ur range and mage, and go to RuneHQ for help on combat stats, (check out their calculator section).
Well actually, would you rather have hp lvls or str lvls to affect the most of your cb? Some ppl say to have the lowest hp you can, but idk, id say keep it balanced
This rulez
Yes, this guide was helpful, but training range and mage wouldn’t make you much of a pure. Your combat would be the same as any other’s account. Train str and attk, no def, you might train range if you are a member pure, but not in F2p. You would need lvl 25 prayer for protect one item for bringing your scimi into pvp. If you are a rich pure, unlikely, then you might risk having armor and bringing a weapon into pvp. For clothes most pures wear iron helm, full updated monk robes, boots, team cape, and ammy of str or def. Note* ammy of def recommended b/c you would have 1 def.
