RuneScape: Creating the Most Efficient Pure – Step by Step
How to create a PvP pure that will really excel in PvP worlds.
So, you are tired of getting killed by other pures? This is why you looked at this guide? Well, i was constantly Ko’d in PVp, but I found a great combination of stats to make your pure the most efficient.
First steps.
Once you get off tutorial island, sell everything you have to the general store. This will give you around 100 coins, which will come in useful. Walk into the little house with a dungeon, right next to the Lumbridge castle. Climb into the trapdoor, and speak to Sir Vant. Once he gives you the talk about the dragon, ask him to let you slay it. He will refuse, and give you 2 experience lamps instead. Use both, and level range. You should be level six range by now. Now walk to the barbarian village. go into the stronghold of player safety, and recieve 10,000gp and 2 500 experience lamps. Use both of those and you have level 13 range. Notice that your hitpoints level is still 10. Now set some recoveries on your account, and climb down to the stronghold of security. Complete all of the levels and you have a total of 20,000gp.
Now is the time to buy yourself some equipement. Go to the grand exchange, speak to the tutor, and buy the following: Shortbow, willow shortbow, and maple shortbow; mithril, and addy scimitars, addy 2h, full iron, and a power amulet. Spend the rest on 1000 arrows and Trout. Go west of barbarian village to the monks. Train your range on the monks until you are level 40 range. This should take you around 6 hours of constant play. The monks can heal you, so no food is necessary.
Now is the time to complete Vampire Slayer. It’s an easy quest and gives you 4k attack xp. This will get you to 20 attack. Go back to the monks and train to 30 strength. Now comes the time for you to chose your setup. These are my favorite:
45 range, 30 strength, 30 attack.
35 range, 20 strength, 20 attack.
The strength and attack levels will not contribute to the combat level, as the range level is really high.
PVP Techniques.
Pk in lumbridge, I have found that it’s the best place to kill first timers (level 20s) Wait beside the bridge near the goblin house. When a potential victim passes by the bridge, start ranging him. The victim will attempt to auto retaliate, but will fail as the bridge is blocking his path. He will either run, or walk around the bridge. If he runs, don’t bother following him, he wont die. If he walks around the bridge switch your attack mode to accurate, and start asking him questions i.e. “What’s your strength level” or “Whats your attack level”. After the message is displayed, instantly switch to rapid, wait for the health to get low, Select your 2h and click on him. Hopefully he was bisy typing, comforting himself with the fact that you were attacking slowly, while you KOd him back to lumby castle.

Pretty good for a starting guide, but there are a few things you should mention.
1.) The fact that the first mentioned dungeon is not as dangerous as the second, for the monsters are not aggressive. You could also provide a link that would help players successfully accomplish running through the dungeons without dying, or wasting time for that matter.
2.) The core explanation of what a Pure is, and how the stats correlate with the combat level. There are actually a lot of stuff with the stats that you failed to mention, so I might create an article myself based primarily on that, linking here since this isn’t too bad for a start off.
Good Guide, so I’m going to “like it.”
nice guide, you could have gone a little more in detail in the guide, what to wear for pking, and a few pictures as to where the locations are. i like teh strategy you use for pking.
