RuneScape F2P Range Guide

A Runescape f2p range guide for all levels.

All of these methods have been tested and proved that they are the fastest way to 99 range. This is undoubtedly the best way to train.

1. 1 – 10

2. 10 – 20

3. 20 – 30

3. 30 – 45

4. 45 – 60

5. 60 – 80

6. 80 – 99

Starting off at level 1, the best area to train range is the chicken cook west of the lumbridge cows. You can either train with a training bow and training arrows or a regular shortbowand bronze arrows. These chickens hit nothing but zeros and are a good way to train at a low level. Train using a rapid attack style and keep it like this the whole time, it is the fastest experience but also loses the most arrows, it is very much worth it though. fight these chickens until level 10. (Don’t forget to switch to a oak shortbow at 5 range)

At level 10 head over to the cows next tothe crafting guild under falador. These cows are better exp than chickens but have an arguably higher defense. There is a safespot here however granting a player experience without losing any health. At this safespot there are four cows to fight. Fight here until 20 range when another change to a willow shortbow is made. Also, switch to studded chaps and a coif if a hat is being used though it won’t made much of a difference.

At level 20 range, the Al-Kharid mining area is where you will be training. Go up on one of the sides and range down on the scorpions below. This is again a safespot and you will not take any damage. Use bronze arrows but don’t pick arrows because it will take time and going down will make the scorpions agressive.

At level 30 range switch yet again to another shortbow, maple. This is the final bow you are going to use and is the best in f2p. On the second floor of the Stronghold of Security there is a room in the corner of just flesh crawlers. These give some of the best range experience in the game. If you have the money, range with bronze arrows and don’t bother to pick them up. If you don’t have enough money for that, still use bronze arrows but pick the arrows up. Leaving the arrows on the ground will speed up your trip to 99 range. There is also a good safespot to range the flesh crawlers without taking damage. (Switch to green dragon hide chaps when you reach level 40 range)

At 45 range move to the hill giants in the house southwest of the Grand Exchange. These are also great experience and can also be good money for low level characters. They drop big bones which can be sold in the Grand Exchange for click here.

When you reach 60 range, Go to the end of the Varrock sewars. Here, you are going to fight Moss Giants. These are suggested to 99 but not the the only way. These giants are great axp for high and low leveled players. There are safespots to range them at without taking damage. (You should be using steel arrows)

Another good way to train for 99 range is Lesser Demons at 80 range. Still use steel arrows for the fastest exp. There are many safespots here but this area is often crowded due to the good range experience given. Consistant training is not easy to find at Lesser Demons.

Congratulations on achieving 99 ranged. This will massively in PvP and Bounty Hunter. Add me in game, my name(s) are “Dibs2″ and “Sux My Spek”. Hope to see you sometime! Good Luck!
