Runescape Fishing Guide
Have no use for that net of yours? How about catching fish? This guide will show you how to become a champion angler.
Level 1-20:
Go to Al-Kharid with a net. Go south of the bank and net there. If you plan on training your cooking level as well, then after you get a set, go to the range north of the bank and cook them there.
Level 20-40:
Kill chickens (their feathers are needed to catch fish). You are going to need a lot of feathers (at least 656). Buy a fly fishing rod from the fishing store in Port Sarim or from players. Have both the rod and feathers in your inventory and fish in the river east of Barbarian Village. If you are training cooking still, then use the fires in Barbarian Village bar to cook on. If you plan to keep them, there’s a bank north of the fishing spot.
Level 40-60:
Here’s where you’ll be making lots of money. Make sure you have lobster pot (from Port Sarim fishing shop) and 60 coins. Go east of the Port Sarim fishing shop and right-click a sailor and choose pay 30 coins. You will now be on Karamja, the only place to fish lobsters on f2p (free to play) worlds. If you are a member, Catherby is the best place to fish for lobsters. Sell the lobsters raw or cook them and use them.
Level 60+:
You can continue to fish lobsters, or you can switch to swordfish. Swordfish heal more and are worth more; however, you will also catch tuna, making it longer to fish a set of swordfish. If you’re a member when you get level 76 fishing, then you can fish sharks, that are worth lots more.

Is there a place near a bank where you can fish lobbys? I cant find somewhere..
there’s only 1 place in f2p to catch lobbies, that is in karamja. the best place to fish lobbies for p2p is catherby, seeing as it is the closest to a bank.
yea tht guide didnt help me much as i have 50 fishing and i kno where 2 fish i want 2 kno the exp tht il gt from each fish

What if we want to fish for the xp and not for cash? You didn’t even mention monk fishing or fly fishing at shilo. This guide is trash.
Monks give MORE xp then sharks AND they’re a lower level fish then a shark is so you’ll get a load of monkfish FASTER then a load of sharks.
Fly fishing at shilo and depositing at the bank gives even FASTER then fishing for Monks.

Catherby would be a gud place to train for lvls that cant go into fishing guild.when u have the lvls, go piscatioris(forgive the spelling) colony to fish monk fish

omg u retards fish near catherby for lobbies, fishing guild for swordies, and same with sharks. monkfish is best for xp and money to 99. Fly fishing is fastest but horible money.

To correl, in p2p the best place for lobs is fishing guild not catherby..

don’t go fishing lobsters at lvl 40…. don’t even fish them if u want to get tolvl 99 fast just fish trout n salmon-at 30- from 20-60 – or 76 which is better- then fish swordies -or if u have 76 fish sharks- till 99 thats the fastest…. no doubt

for exp you wanna fish monks or swordies w/ gloves depending on your fising level….like i said lobbys are decent money and exp. but from 76-99 sharks are not the fastest but i personally would go with sharks just because the money is good and everyone wants them.

yea its 140 for all noobs im level 122 i hace 2 99s. but fish at catherby if mem. if not fish at edgeville really fast.
i need to know if there is another apot to fish for a f2p besides karamaja
wel not rly you nvr get lobbies at 40 fishing fish lobbies at 50 or 45 but fish trouts and salmon for awhile in barbain village
