Runescape Guide to 99 Mining–> One of the Hardest Skills

Introduction to Mining

The Mining i will be talking about today is in the game Runescape, a MMORPG (massive mutiplayer online role-playing game).  Mining, in my opinion is on of the hardest skills in Runescape, next to smithing. The method i will tell you about today is for Non-members and will also be available to members. I will be covering methods to 99 using the fastest method possible as well as a slower version for those who want to make money.

Section I: Fastest way to 99

NOTE: These levels are for ONLY if you want to get to level 99 mining with the fastest method, if you desire to make money from mining while making money,  I suggest you scroll down to the end of this article.

Levels 1-41

By useing the fastest way to 99 mining from levels 1- 41 you will want to look for 2 copper/tin rocks that are diagonally away from each other.  What you want to do is mine one, then mine the other and drop then both, this is the fastest method, if you wish you can go to a bank and bank them if you are close enough.  This can get quite boring so you may want to take regular breaks.  For levels 1-41 you will have to mine approximately 2,353 tin or copper ore, it may seem like a lot but by the time you are able to 1 hit tin/copper it will go by really fast.

Levels 41-99

Now that you have the abilty you will want to use the rune pick axe you will be able to 1 hit iron ore. You will want to look for iron ore rocks diagonally next to eachother and mining, then dropping the iron ore. Be prepared for EXTREME BORDOM you will have to take frequent breaks to release your stress.  It will take a whopping 371,236 iron ore to reach your goal of 99 mining.

Section II:  Money Making with Mining

Method 1: clay, clay is quick to mine and respawns at an extremely fast rate. They can be sole at the GE for 100gp+

Method 2: Coal at the mining guild, to get into the mining guild you will first need 60 mining. coal can sell for over 200gp at the grand exchange.

Method 3: Mining adamant. There are many places to mine adamantite, though i recommend the hobglobins mine, at the west side of the mines you should be able to find 4 adamant rocks, i would recommend world hopping.  adamant ore can be sold for over 1,000gp at the grand exchange.

Method 4: Mining Rune. Runite takes long to mine but can be sold at an extremely high price and is excelent money. they can be sold for over 10k at the grand exchange!

Section III: The Skillcape

At 99 mining you will be able to get the mining skillcape at the little short dwarfat the entrance to the mining guilde. The emote is: a rock will appear and your character will pull out a pic axe, and will raise it into thee air, the pic will have a golden glow around it and your character will then smash the rock and puts the pic away.
