RuneScape Guide to Green Dragons

No matter what the case, this guide will show you how to quickly defeat Green Dragons.

There’s alot of reasons Green Dragons are a popular place to train at

  1. Combat experience
  2. Money
  3. To Raise Prayer/Prayer levels.

No matter what the case, this guide will show you how to quickly defeat Green Dragons, get good combat experience and make money.

Where to Train

In this guide we will be training at the Green Dragon Spot east of clan wars and north of varrock in the wilderness. The dragons will be from 18-23 deep in the wild. There are many revanants that go through here and if you get attacked by one of them, run south as fast as possible and log out as soon as you can and switch to a different world. This helps specially if you are teleblocked. If you teleblocked, switch worlds and the teleblock won’t be there anymore.

Equipment

There is 2 effective ways to fight the Green Dragons. Melee and Range will be of the 2 ways. I will show you both different ways you’ll be using to combat these dragons.

Melee

This is a picture of what your equipment should look like:

If you are unfamiliar with some of the equipment shown, I will list items that could be used.

Weapon: Whip, Dragon Scimmy, Dragon Longsword.

Helmet: Neitiznot, Warrior, Beserker, Dragon medium.

Necklace: Always wear a games necklace fighting Green Dragons.

Platebody: Torso, Rune Plate, Granite.

Plateleg: Dragon skirt/legs, Rune skirt/leg.

Shield: Anti Fire Shield, Dragonfire Shield. It is very important that you have this!!!

Boots: Dragon, Rune, Bandos.

Ring: Warrior, Beserker, Ring of Life.

Cape: Skill cape, God cape, Fire Cape

Glove: Combat Brace, Barrow/Dragon/Rune Gauntlets.

That should cover what to wear for melee. It is very important that you wear the anti dragon shield at all times!!!

Range

This is a picture of what your range equipment should look like:

Just like Melee I will list the Equipment if you are unfamiliar with the equipment.

Weapon: Rune Cross bow, Bronze,Iron, Steel Knives

Ammo: Broad tipped bolts are a must for Crossbows

Helmet: Archers Helmet, Robin, Zammy,Sara,Guthix Coif

PlateBody: Black Dragon Hide, Red Dragon Hide, Armadyl

Plateleg: Black Dragon Hide, Red Dragon Hide, Armadyl

Boots: Ranger boots, Snakskin, Climbing Boots

Gloves: Black Spikey Vambraces, Red Spikey Vambraces

Cape: Always use Ava’s Attractor

That should cover both Melee and Range on what to wear. Now i will show you how to bank.

Banking

It shouldn’t have to be hard at all for you to bank your items when your invetory fills up with items. So these easy steps will help you to Bank your items fast and effectively.

  1. Once your invetory fills up Rub your Game Necklace and use the teleport to boundy hunter. *make sure you’re under level 20 wild first*
  2. When you arrive at bounty Hunter, run north east until you see a bank, deposit all your items and exit out of the bank screen. Now rub your Game’s Necklace again but this time teleport to Clan wars.
  3. When you arrive at Clan wars run a bit north and then straight east until you arrive at Green Dragons.

Here’s a map of the area:

That concludes my guide to Green Dragons. Thanks for reading.

Yes green dragons are members. Also this guy is a noob, the suggestion of using a mage bow is really stupid. A dragon will max 80+ on you if you do that.

Actually, you’re the noob for saying that green dragons can hit 80+. They max at about 50 and you can stay a few steps away from them so the dragons can’t hit or burn you. Awesome guide, Breadfan! :)

PS look up breadfan91 before you call him a noob :P

First, you HAVE to have the anti-dragon/dragonfire shield.
Second, the fire-breathing move is a mage move I’m pretty sure.
Any kind of bow is a 2h, making the anti-dragon shield unwieldable. If you move away from the dragons, they follow you. (unless they updated it since I last fought them.)But if I am correct in assuming the fire is a mage attack, just use the Protect Magic prayer. If they dont follow you, just turn prot mage on and you dont need food.. just pray pots. I would say 4 (4) dose pots would get you an inventory

I witnessed a level 77 expolring the green dragon area. He got to close to one and it attacked him. He was wielding Torag’s hammers, and a black full helm. With the fire it hit a 498! (the new cb update multiplied hits by 10, so it would’ve been a 49)

    2011 Update
    —————–
-Green Dragons now moved to Forinithy Dungeon due to the Old Wildy and Free Trade update.

-Best way to keep killing dragons is by buying Forinithy Bracelet and Varrock teleports. Make sure you risk only the items you want to risk,
