RuneScape Halloween Event 2009

First of all, what you will get for doing this quest.

Once you complete the quest (this quest will not show up under the quests tab until you have started it), you will receive a Spider Web cape and a pet spider called “Eek”. You can wear the cape, and you can interact with Eek. You will have the options to play with, talk-to, and dismiss Eek. I don’t recommend dismissing him as it is a one-time only present.

What to do to start.

You will not need anything special for this quest, all you have to do is go south of Falador and into the woods south of the path. The screen should get darker as you get closer to the portal. Step through the portal to go to the Grim Reaper’s house. You will need to talk to him.

Quest Guide.

The Grim Reaper will tell you that there is a spider in the bathtub. You are assigned with the task of getting him out. But, that is not as easy as it seems. He will refuse to get out of the tub unless the Spider Queen tells him so. Go tell the Grim Reaper this, and he will open another portal leading to the Spider Queen’s world. There will be a big but simple maze to get to her. Just keep going to the ladders that take you upstairs.

Once you get up to the level with the spiders crawling aroung, talk to the big spider in the middle of the room. You will have to tell him that the Grim Reaper sent you, and then he will tell you to go upstairs to see her. Go up the ladder behind him and you will be in the Spider Queen’s room.

When you talk to her, she will tell you that the Grim Reaper has insulted her by cleaning out all the cobwebs in his house at Halloween. You will be told to web-up his house. The Spider Queen will give you a spider to help you with the job.

Go back down the ladder and talk again to the spider in the middle. He will give you a spider called Eek to spin webs over the Grim Reaper’s house. Once Eek is in your backpack, go down the ladder and choose the option “Go to Grim’s Reaper’s house” and you will be teleported directly to Grim’s house. Talk to him, and he will give you permission to web-up his house.

You will have to cover a total of 64 pieces of furniture in the house. Eek will tell you how many things he wants webbed in a room when you walk in. The easiest way is to hover your cursor over random pieces of furniture and look in the top left corner of the screen where it has the available actions. There are 34 pieces of furniture downstairs, and 30 pieces of furniture upstairs to cover in spider webs. This task may take you a while.

When you have finished, go back and talk to Grim, and then go back to the Spider Queen. She will reward you with the Spider Web Cape. Eek will ask the Spider Queen if he can go with you, so you will get to keep him too.

Oh, and one more thing – when you go into the room with Muncher (the skeleton dog), you will have to calm him down by interacting with him and choosing “Try to entertain”. Once you have done that, choose “Hold Eek for Muncher to sniff”, and he will sniff the spider and yap. You will now be able to web-up the furniture in that room.
