RuneScape Just Keeps Getting Worse with Every Update

Here’s a list of the top three worst updates, along with a brief description. (the dates are just estimates of mine)

1. A little over one year ago, the most horrendous update ever happened. The ban of the wilderness PK-ing. This was a huge mistake, because at that time, the wilderness was the only way to kill other players, and therefore, the spotlight of the game. When this update was “UN-introduced”, almost all Runescape players basically just panicked, it was the cause of many players quitting. This was also the trigger to many You-tube videos and riots, such as this one.
   
   When JaGEx introduced bounty hunter to the game in order to cover up the hole of the “once legendary” wilderness, it triggered even more riots. Why? Bounty hunter was nothing like the wilderness and had many flaws.  
2. The next worst update was the trade limit, also about a year ago. This provoked so much madness that everyone was pissed off, especially the merchants who lived on the profit of merchanting. Therefore, this also caused many players to quit. Now the only ways to trade without the trade limit is through the grand exchange, which still has a limit, although it’s pretty okay. This update did help to eliminate the bots that used to infest Runescape.
3. Lately, there’s been a bunch of new updates, including the new SD (standard details/definition). For someone with a great computer, this was a great update, but to those with slightly slower computers, this was a huge mistake. How? The new SD is pretty much the equal of the old HD, which means many problems with the speed of the game. Personally, I don’t like this update. This morning, it took me about an hour just to log in, my screen kept freezing. When I finally did log in, I could hardly move in world 1 because of the horrible lag. And due to the frustration of not being able to log in, I believe that this also caused many players to leave Runescape.

If JaGEx keeps up this trend of updates, Runescape will soon be deserted. I hope that JaGEx realizes this soon and stop making the stupid rules before everyone’s gone. Thanks for reading!
