Runescape noob alert! How to deal with these annoying players.
Ever encounter a noob doing stupid things and asking stupid questions? I bet you have, noobs exist as early as the earliest mmorpg came around. In here i will tell you how to handle with noobs in the popular mmorpg, runescape.
First, there is a difference between a newbie and a noob. A newbie is a person who is new to the game, a noob is a person who is new to the game and just plain stupid, rude and annoying. For example, a newbie would ask something like “what is a random event?” A noob would ask “Where can I get a random event?” If you ever meet a noob during your game time, I fell sorry for you, however everybody meet a noob during sometime during game. If you have unfortunately meet a noob and do not know how do deal with his stupidity, relax, there are only 5 things noob would do to you.
- Trying to curse and insult you because they are just plain bored.
- Imposter a Jagex staff and threaten to ban you if you do not give them your account password or money.
- Follow you around and begging for money or equipment.
- Say their main is some high level account such as zezima and try to scare you to give them stuff.
- Ask some stupid questions but will insult you when you answer because the answer sound stupid.
To solve situation number 1, you can log off the world and go to another one. Ignore the noob and walk away, but most likely the noob will then follow you and you then need to go into hiding. I do not suggest this because why should you hide from a noob? I prefer ignore him but not run away. If he really annoys you, log off. I meet a noob once who insult me because I refuse to give him my armor. I tried to walk away but he follows me, so I went to my bank, took out my easter ring and turned into an egg, the noob never found me. Or, there is a little trick to use on noobs. If you press ALT and F4 at the same time, it closes the window. So when a noob come up, tell them to press ALT and F4 to double their items in their inventory and watch them disappear.
To solve problem number 2, report them for Jagex impersonation and then if you want have some fun, play along with him, you can pretending to be scared or log off then back and say the noob banned you for a second. Watch what he says when you do it, its pretty funny what most noobs react, I see them apologizing to me, giving crappy stuff or run away.
To solve dilemma number 3, you can give them a small amount of money such as 1k or iron armor. Sometimes I like to wander around to give one new comer 10k and full mith to have a better start. However if you really do not want to give them money, you can try using the ALT and F4 trick to make them disappear or simply ignore them.
To solve number 4, I usually like to talk with them about runescape. They usually say something stupid, such as once a noob claimed his main is zezima, I asked him about barrowing, he told me to barrow, use a spade on the ground and click the hole you mad and you will be “Barrowing”. That always makes me laugh. Seriously though, if you want them go away, say something like “what are you going to do?” or you can just try the ALT and F4 trick on them.
To solve number 5, first is an example, a noob in varrock ask where is varrock, a player answer him that he is in varrock. Noob got angry because the answer sound stupid and insult them. DO NOT ever insult them back, this can get you into trouble and you also become a noob. If this happened to me, I would tell them I made a mistake and point them to the direction to the wilderness, if they die, oh well, they deserve it.

Likespie, your guide wasn’t very usefull, because to get rid of a noob just add him to the ignore list. Anyway it was very fun to read. Alt + F4 key is a good trick.

One time a noob challenged me to a duel, but he was in varrock, so I teleported to the dueling arena to wait for him and he never came. Then I got a message from my friend saying that the noob was still there and he was calling me a loser O_o that’s the worst kind of noob lol
instead of alt f4 try control + w it does the same thing and its not blocked
or if you really want to be REALLY REALLY mean they will probably be too stupid to report so, tell them to get 5k from their bank ( or whatever they have) and to drop it and to press ctrl + w to instantly get 10k

Well i thought about the times and without noobs there would barley be luaghs in a game, noobs prevent a game there the funniest part of a game you can trick them you can kill them easyier than killing some pro… Well its like without noobs there…….. would be no fun in a game thats what i though ……………… think about it……..

Same person Phsyco 24 i got a story for you.I was wearing bronze in the middle of varock where all the high levels hang a level 50 came up to me and called me a noob and I was a lvl 105 he dueled me we went he was wearing zammy.I quicky changed to full dragon blue party hat staked with whip.Never call a lvl 100+a noob even if there wearing bronze because youll get whoped.Something like that happened a to me but I was wearing corrpet dragon I didnt know it turned to dust in the middle of dragon slayer it turned in to dust I had to use my gloves and dragon boots im not getting my hands or feet dirty.
