RuneScape Perfect Combat Guide- Free Users

I’m not a master at RuneScape, but I surely know what to train on.

I’ve recently given a post about Runescape, which has gotten a few views, so I might as well give another post regarding RuneScape. As you may know, I have a combat level of 71, and 2 weeks ago it was 66. No constant playing, no help from quests, no help from any players. It is simply in my head.

I used to be a member, and couldn’t train well enough in combat, as I was mostly training member skills. Now I’m a free user again and have decided to only train combat. I’ve hardly played runescape, and the levels are rising. Here’s my tip.

Levels 3-10

Many may be new to the game, and it’s pretty hard training combat since you hardly get hits. But these monsters might help-

Chicken- Lvl 1

Can be found around Lumbridge a lot, and only have 3hp, so are easy to kill. Although they hardly give xp, they can help you train combat and other skills as well.

They drop bones, which can be easily buried for prayer.

They drop Raw Chicken, which can improve cooking level as well as give you health when it’s low.

They might drop feathers as well, which can be used for rod fishing.

Cow- Lvl 2

These are also found at Lumbridge a lot. They have 8hp, so more experience their. They hardly give hits to you, but their defence is low so it’s easy to kill them. They also help increasing other stats.

Bones, to bury and increase prayer.

Raw beef, which can be cooked to boost cooking level as well as give you health.

Cowhide, which can help boost crafting level or be sold at the Grand Exchange for around 100 gp each.

Goblin- Lvl 2 and 5

These are found all around Lumbridge and in Goblin village. They have only 5 hp (Level 2), and hardly any defence skill. These are probably the best to train on. They drop bones, which you can bury for increase in prayer level, and anything from coins to runes as well.

Rats- Lvl 1

Somewhat like a dummy to train on. Only 2hp, and doesn’t drop anything but bones.

The Combat Training center will help you increase your skills slowly, and you’ll not lose your health at all.

Level 10-25

Train on barbarians in Barbarian village. They are really easy to kill, and there is the Grand Exchange nearby to sell items. Barbarians can give good hits, and they have low defence.

Level 25-35

The first floor in the Stronghold of Security, which can be found in the Barbarian village. The Stronghold of Security is the best place to train from here onwards. Attack goblins Level 11, 13 and above 20’s. Minotaurs give iron arrows and accounted for much of my training. Minotaurs and wolves are probably the best monsters to kill at this level.

Level 35-55

Second floor of Stronghold of Security. Zombies have high defence and drop a lot, while flesh crawlers have low defence, low hp, attack fast and drop hardly anything. There is an area, completely north from the ladder of the second floor, filled with Level 35 flesh crawlers. Attack these only. They will auto attack you, so make sure you have a lot of food, and hire your little sister or brother to keep clicking on the food when your hp is low while you go and watch TV or hang out with your friends. When you come back after an hour, your levels will be increased. Watch out, the flesh crawlers stop auto attacking after a while, so exit that place, walk around a bit outside it, and go back. The flesh crawlers will again attack you.

If not flesh crawlers, go to the White Knight castle in Falador. They don’t auto attack, and their levels are between 36 and 40. They have high hp, high defence but hardly hit. They wield 2h swords, so they will attack slowly. Take a scimitar or battleaxe and crush them.

Level 55-80

Third floor in the SOS. There are giant spiders (Level 50), which are the best things to train on. They have 50hp but can hit upto 7.They don’t drop anything, but give 200xp each, and will have you levelled up in no time. Beware of the catablepons, they use mage attacks to weaken your strength level. Go to an area where there are only Giant spiders, and they auto attack. Same tactic for the flesh crawlers. They have low defence, but high attack, so make sure you have a full inventory of swordfish or anchovie pizza. My tip, use a scimitar against them and slash them dead.

Level 80 Onwards

Fourth floor SOS. Attack Ankous, because they can give you high cash in drops, or go to a region with ankous and ghosts, and you’ll level up quicker than you can bend down and touch your toes. They auto attack upto a certain level, and can hit high. Ankous have a good amount of health and low defence, everything you want. Just remember to bring a good load of food. On an average at Level 100, ankous will give you 20k xp in half an hour, and per 2 hours account for 100k worth of drops. That’s 80k xp and 100k $pure gold$.

Another option is Lesser Demons. They can be found in Crandor and past the wall of the Karamja underground area. They’re level 82, and hit 9’s. They auto attack you upto a level, and have 80hp and relatively low defence. There you go, perfect training. Most players fight them for drops, and boy does it work. They can give you 100k worth of drops in 20 min if you’re at a high level.

Another option is Cockroach soldiers. They have high defence though, but 100hp, so a good match altogether.

And if your feeling good, take on the Greater Demons in the deep wilderness (Around level 45-48). They have low defence and a lot of health, and can hit upto nines. Make sure you have a good amount of food with you, and you’re all set for a good boost of a level of a particular stat in around an hour, maybe less. Greater demons drop big, and can make you big money. They are level 92 with 87hp. They match the look of Lesser demons except they just have wings. The only caution, WATCH OUT FOR REVENANTS! They will pop out of nowhere and kill you instantly. Food will be a must here.

That’s my guide, I follow it and it definetely works. What about you? Is it good or could use improvement?
